"dont fly united"
Nah, United's probably the second best air carrier besides Southwest imo, have had no probs w/ it since Continental merged with it
The real bad one is American, them AA scums |

United Airlines is garbage. When I flew to Colorado we had gate changes and delays in Denver going both ways. Then when my parents went to Scotland a few years ago their flight from Houston to Newark got delayed which caused them to miss their next flight and then they lost their bags.
Then on a school trip to Europe we got delayed in Chicago and missed the flight out of D.C. to Rome. So we had to spend the night in D.C. and the next day we flew to Frankfurt then to Rome. Then one of my friends lost his suitcase and didn't get it back until two weeks after we returned home.
Moral of the story: Fly Southwest if going domestic, if international, then fly a non-US airline or if you can't do that then fly Delta. American is bad too but nowhere near as awful as United. |

Delta's also nice, I haven't been on it since before the merger w/ Northwest, but when my dad went back to Iran for the first time since '77 in 2011, he took Delta from Austin to Detroit to Amsterdam then took KLM to Tehran, and he liked the whole Delta-KLM duo and assumingly, probably Air France as well
I just have problems with American and a bit with US Airways
I like United, I've had no problems with it flying out of Bush Intercontinental |

| I fly United cuz I use their mileage plus. But for International Flights I use Star Alliance airlines (Like Lufthansa) so I can still gain points. Overall I have had no problem with UA and the longest delay I ever had with them was only about 20 mins. |

British Airways is going to start flying from Austin to London two days after my b-day with a 787...and then apparently if they do well, then Air France, KLM, and Lufthansa will get in the Austin market, which helps because this city is about to eclipse 1 million people in the city alone and 2 million in the metro area and is a Global city
But in fact, I think Austin's airport has the longest runway of any major commercial airport in the USA, at over 12000 feet (roughly 2 1/2 miles), and it hasn't had a single plane crash or incident in it's history, but then again, it was a WWII Air Force base so it's pretty big anyway...I think it can definitely have the capability for an A380... |

Personally I'm a big fan of the airlines business and such.
Unfortunately the closest hub near me(Memphis) is being dismantled by Delta
The biggest airplane I've been on is a Delta A330 which isn't huge but a very good sized aircraft |

ye, people do evaluate airlines.. it's actually called reviews and that goes for everything: a restaurant, recreational parks, airports, and even retail stores and malls. and when analyst review sport player stats and evaluate them, why not review/evaluate other stuff?
