| Dortmund have no reason to be bitter. They knew this was going to happen and they knew Bayern were willing to pay (probably a lot judging by the Neuer transfer) to get him six months ago. They chose not to. I do not know whether they have the money to bring in a superstar or not, but they could have had if they had accepted Bayern's offer. If they fail to do so and Lewandowski's transfer spells the end for Dortmund... well then, that's a result of a decision they took. They knew the risks when they refused Bayern's offer. Lewandowski warned them he would leave anyway and Bayern made it clear they would wait. |

Wow, people still think that Bayern is Dortmund's biggest rival? It's with Schalke, and it's the biggest in Germany as well.
Just because their has been a lot of competition between the two clubs the past few years, doesn't mean they are rivals. |

@iss It's probably seen as Bayern-Dortmund because those have been the two most relevant clubs in the Bundesliga most recently. |

True, but it shouldn't mean it's a rivalry.
But, there's a lot more relevant Bundesliga clubs than you think. Bayern, Dortmund, Leverkusen, and Schalke (all German clubs in CL) are still remaining in the CL, and Mönchengladbach, Hertha Berlin, Wolfsburg, and Stuttgart are all underrated. |

| Wolfsburg was shocking last season. They got Luiz Gustavo in the summer, and he's helped them sure up the midfield. I hope De Bruyne goes to Wolfsburg though, or any Bundesliga team. |

| So what? Dortmund accepted Götze's fee, and now Lewandowski's fee. That's that. They knew the risk of both of them leaving, and they took it. |

The difference:
Bayern fans: "Good luck Luiz! Hopefully you will get a lot of experience at Wolfsburg!" (and he still could be coming back to Bayern)
Dortmund fans: "OMG KLOPP RETIRED? TRAITOR!" |
