Just a short. An inspired work that takes place in the Nafarian universe, no chapters or anything. Enjoy and leave feedback -------------------------------------------
It was a simple task for Revadii to complete, and yet, why did he, even now feel so much regret about doing this. He clenched his square jaw as looked about the rather bare room about him, sitting on a simple wooden bench, it was grey and made of concrete, cracks ran about the walls and ceiling. Two solid metal doors laid at either side of the room, dim light shined through bars near the top of the farthest wall, the yellow rays of sunshine shined down through the bars, creating little slivers of light on the cold, cracked concrete floor. He listened to the explosions going on outside. The battle that raged on around him. It would all end soon however. The humans always give up once their leader was killed. He focused on his weapon, clenched tight in his grey armored fist. The red lights shining against the matte grey finish of the pistol.
Just then, the metal door to his left swung open, and another nafarian walked in, his exposed pale face covered in sweat, plastering his pitch black hair to his forehead, his regal looking red armor dented by the impact of bullets. He looked wildly about the room. Through the shutting door Revadii could see tanks and other grey armor clad Nafarian soldiers running to the heat of battle. The nafarian rested his red eyes on Revadii.
"Is it done yet Lieutenant?" He exlaimed through half breahs.
"No sir." Revadii replied calmly, his red pupils dilating slightly in fear.
"Why the hell not Lieutenant!" The nafarian exlaimed, his eyes wild. "The humans are pushing hard, good nafarians are dieing out there because you delay! Finish the job or I will!" He shouted.
Revadii didn't reply, but seemed to be pondering his leader's words. The Nafarian was a highly respected Colonel, and Revadii's close friend since childhood. And yet he could hardly even recognize him anymore.
"Why do we fight the humans, Velsad?" Was all Revadii replied with.
Velsad looked bewildered by this question.
"Why?" Velsad began, trailing off. "You are insane Revadii, have you had water? Are you becomming dehydrated in this heat? You know why we go about this bloody business. We must, for our people." Velsad finished.
"I know what the emperor says..." Revadii began, he could feel himself growing angry, and he tried to stop himself from uttering the words he was about to say, but could not. "but it doesn't add up! By doing what we're doing now makes us no better than the humans! Our "Godly" Emperor Ven'Ziel sits back preaching peace constantly and for what? Another war to be declared on some new distant human nation a few years later? It's insanity! I've spoken to many human comrades and they are not much different than any civilized Nafarian I've spoken to! No different than you or me! Not like the barbaric violent race our Emperor portrays them to be, so tell me Velsad, why does the man in that room have to die?" Why do we have to do this crap year after year, month after month!" Revadii yelled in outrage.
Revadii paused now, panting. He was standing now, pistol tightly, his eyes wide, sweat pouring into the creases of his armor. Velsad looked taken back, his face showing utter shock. The two said nothing for a momment, until both were distracted by a loud explosion outside, and cheers comming from the human ranks.
"Revadii..." Velsad began, returning his attention to his friend. "I don't have time to persuade you, but this must be done. Whether you're right or not... this man must die, many people of both species are dieing out there, and we can bring this war to a swift end today by killing this one man...." Velsad paused for a moment and watched Revaddi's reaction to his words carefully. "face it Revadii, you are not thinking straight, it's hot, and we're all tired, and worn. Think of the lives you can save by killing this one man, no matter how this screams consciously to you." Velsad said. "And at the end of the day, remember, it is our job to do this bloody work, for we are nafarian, the peace keepers of the galaxy." He finished.
Revadii digested his friend's words, and after thinking them over, relaxed his tense shoulders, the armor creaking as he did so.
"You're right, Velsad... you're right." Was all he could manage. And yet still, the task he knew he would have to complete still seemed so hard. He wasn't convinced.
Velsad smiled in return. "Good!" He exclaimed walking forward. "Now lets finish this together, for Nafaria." He said with a smile, patting Revadii on the shoulder as he went.
The two friends now approached the other door. And entered the room, the metal door clanging shut behind them. The room was damp, dark and cold, unlike the outer room. No bars to let light in, the only light came from the two Nafarian soldier's armor as the roguetonium power lights glowed the dull red. In the corner of the room laid a human. His fine blue clothing tattered, his pale face swollen, his arms were tied together by rough rope bindings, and his grey hair messy. He solemnly looked up at his captors who towered over him, his face lit up red from the armor.
"So you've come here to finish me..." He began weakly. "Do it quick, I'd rather not see your putrid race infest my planet and chan-" He began as he was cut off as Velsad kicked him with his armored boot. The man coughed up some blood from the force of the kick and said no more.
"Humans... Always love to run their mouth." Velsad said. He looked back to his friend. "He's yours Revadii, do it quick and we can all go home." He finished.
Revadii took a step forward, and readied his pistol, aiming it at the man's face. He kept it there, his finger over the trigger, and yet he made no move. He couldn't make a move. He couldn't pull the trigger. He was locked in that position, pointing his weapon at the human while he looked back at Revadii, his brown eyes wide with fear. This continued for an eternity, and was only interrupted by a click and the feeling of a cold pistol barrel at the back of Revaddi's neck. Before Revadii could react a loud bang went off and Revadii fell to the floor, his hand at his neck, blood coming from the wound. His vision began to blur as his life faded, Velsad becoming a mere blury red figure as he stepped in front of Revadii and looked down.
"I'm sorry my friend." Velsad said. "I never wanted to do this but you... were becoming delusional... Beguiled by the humans and their rotten talk." He said solemnly.
He then passively looked towards the human leader, who looked on at the situation, bewildered. and aimed his weapon at the man's face and pulled the trigger, twice, silencing the human. He then turned his passive gaze towards Revadii once more as he choked on his own fluids, aimed his weapon at his dear friends face and fired once more. Ending his friend's misery.

It actually is a short.
No chapters.
And is quite a bit shorter than what I usually write.
And thanks at the feedback. |

@Sterk: Kind of, not like is used to be, but we had a patrol today and had a good 11 guys there.
Nafarian lore is more than roblox though and I've been working on it for 2 years now and will continue it long after I leave roblox. |
