Yeah, no.
Actually, the etymology of the "won't" contraction of "will not" is more interesting than that. The abbreviation gets it's roots in the archaic form of "woll", which eventually evolved into the modern "will".
In the mid 1500s, the concept of something that you will not do took the form of "wynnot", which later evolved into wonnot by the 1580s. The modern contraction ("won't") took form in the 1660s.
