"Dear ROBLOX Community,
On Tuesday morning we implemented minimum pricing on shirts, pants and t-shirts. The response from the ROBLOX community has been passionate and insightful. All of us at ROBLOX HQ have been busy the past two days talking with ROBLOXians, scanning the forums, and reading our Twitter feeds and personal messages.
The change is intended to increase the financial (ROBUX) rewards for our clothing artists. Yesterday, our clothing artists and designers earned 3x the ROBUX they earned Wednesday of last week – which is exactly what we wanted to see happen. Simultaneously, though, we have come to understand more thoroughly that some of our clothing designers just want everyone to wear their creations, regardless of earnings.
The price floors are also intended to increase the flow of ROBUX into the community. We have many ROBLOX developers and content creators who spend hundreds of hours on their creations. At BLOXcon I personally met several developers who asked if there was some way they could share financially in their success. Next week, we are launching the Developer Exchange, a program that will allow ROBLOX developers to convert a portion of their ROBUX earnings to real U.S. dollars via a PayPal account. We believe this program will allow some of our most promising developers to devote even more time to polishing their games and creations. The more dynamic the ROBLOX economy becomes, the more we can reward top ROBLOX developers. Our intent is to ultimately allow top developers to support themselves through earnings on ROBLOX.
We have also talked with many of you about the impact to groups and clans that our price floors have created. Many groups and clans have official clothing, uniforms and logo-wear, and it is now more difficult for non-Builders Club members to purchase these. We are looking for ways to rectify this.
We want you to know that we hear all your concerns, especially those of clothing designers wanting high-volume sales, groups and clans with widely used uniforms, and NBC players. We are watching the forums, Twitter, our inboxes, and the data. We are also evaluating possible improvements. Please stay tuned.
Truly,
– David Baszucki"

"which is exactly what we wanted to see happen."
"what we wanted to see happen."
So, you're saying that you've made the price floor just because you wanted to get clothing makers to make more money?
This gives me another reason to make an anti-price floor thread.
This is plain dumb.

Are you stupid or are you stupid?
Roblox implemented this high price to get more clothes made out there and unique highly textured ones... |

i counted 23/35 shirts that are copied on the front page you're the stupid one here for not taking notice at something that has been happening for at least 4-5 months. also, suggestions and ideas is for people having ideas and other people improving them, not people calling each other stupid. |

"it can change...." who said it can change? the price floor is still there marking the reason to "stop copied shirts." you're making a bad point, you think that giving the price floor some time will change the quality of shirts.

Actually, most of the clothing designers I've talk to said that price floor benefited them.
They get a few less sales, but the sales they do get make them more than 5x what they usually make. |

| And how many people can design clothing that people will spend 100+ tix on? Not surprisingly, only a small select group. |

VTG has made tons of clothing, he used to sell his clothing at 2 tix.
plus, it used to be optional, roblox took our right to sell clothing at what price we want away.
also, they're hypocrites, roblox sells his shirts at 5 tix, while everyone else has to sell them at 100 |

We all knew they didn't have to follow the rules because they made them. Didn't ROBLOX have, like, 28 places at one point, even though TBC can only have 25 max?
To clarify, I meant places active. I have 30-something places due to contests. |

I actually support- Clothing makers don't make as much anymore if less and less are buying. Some of them even say that they're sorry about the price floor, and would make it smaller if they had the choice like it used to be.
If I were to join for the first time, this year, I know I wouldn't be happy at all. |

@Ril
Yes, but they make more on what they sell.
Lets say they normally had 20 sales on a 1 robux shirt
Now it's a 10 robux shirt and they have 10 sales.
20x1= 20 Robux (Market Fee 17 robux) 10x10= 100 Robux (Market Fee 85 robux) |

Yes, but it takes a long while for NBCers to save up if they REALLY want that shirt/pants/etc

@space
It might be a loss for minor, unknown clothing designers, but the big designers that make popular things make more money.

It'd be set more towards the cheaper side.
100 sales on a 10 R$ shirt - 1000 R$ (excluding the tax) 9 sales on a 100 R$ shirt - 900 R$ (excluding the tax)
That is more how it is - close to the previous gain, but a bit less in more cases than the cases where it's a bit more. |

| Only those who sell shirts in massive quantities see a difference that is one that increases their profits. And there are around 5 of those, 7 at max. |

"I think this needs to change back to the way it was. You raised the prices too much. Lower it a little bit at least. Perhaps 100 TIX or 10 Robux as a minimum. I see that this change is to support the creators of these clothes, but it’s going to take at least 3 weeks to purchase a single shirt now. I think that this will drive users away from ROBLOX, seeing as they shouldn’t have listened to the other Guests and made an account if they can’t even change how they look."
