I just upgraded to the latest patch and the studio became weird...for example creating a drag box with the left mouse button, then holding the left mouse button so the box stays, then clicking and dragging the right mouse button so the screen moves. This causes the drag box to go all weird when it selects some bricks by passing over them.
Also, when I resized a brick from a even numbered value to an odd one (ex/ from x=2, y=2, z=3 to x=1, y=2, z=3), the brick shrinks/expands out of both sides and are no longer lined up with the rest of the map's horizontal grid (this is one problem that has been going on since the beginning). Now, however, when I try to drag that resized brick, everything goes very weird. I don't know if it's just me or not, but the cursor freezes, and the brick still moves when you move the mouse.
also, when using the xyz movement tool (the one with the six orange arrows) on a large model, the arrows are usually at the wrong place.
I have a suggestion which can solve a lot of problems for me. make it so that any brick in any time will ALWAYS line up with everything else along the x and z coordinates (horizontally, by the 1 x 1 units) and then have the option of moving all bricks by the smallest unit possible along the y axis (where each movement vertically will move the object 1 unit up in terms of "plates", where each vertical unit is 1/3 the size of the vertical unit of a brick).
And while typing this i noticed something very bizzare...how come overwrite gets turned on on these forums randomly?...I was typing, then i went back to fix something, and as i typed it deleted the characters after what i typed...
just a few bugs that i noticed. Still a great game though! Great job! |

I absolutely agree. Also, I could be mistaken but it seems like some bricks arent exactly 1 unit high and it's really making things difficult to me. I have a post below this one about my problems in case the appropriate persons haven't read it. |

>> Guys - what do you mean by "all weird". This seems to work on my end. I.e., I can move the drag box over the world with the right mouse button, and I seem to get appropriate selection only of the objects inside the drag box.
Thanks!

Guys - can you tell me a specific brick in one of your places where this is weird? T - I tried resizing various bricks in your map and all seemed to work normally.
Thanks!

Standard "Bricks" are in a unit system where each stud is 1x1, but a brick is actually 1.2 studs high!
What this means is that if you stack 5 bricks is should be 5x1.2 or, 6 units high, which is true of typical brick building toys.
How about a feature to make all Y measurements in "Brick" units, so effectively 1.2 "Real" units would be displayed as 1.0 "Bricks" or 3 "Plates".

| I don't when it happens exactly, it seems to occur a lot when dealing with plates and regular bricks and vertically placing bricks with the "Move on Axis" tool. Sometimes, for me, the bricks when lining them up, stay in the same vertical plane, one brick will want to be at 8.2 and an identical brick will want to be at 8.4 or something like that, and usually the only way I can correct it is by using the properties menu and manually setting the vertical position. This has happened A LOT when building stuff. It's really frustrating. For example, when I was building the platform inside my pyramid I was using the move on axis tool for a lot of the platform bricks(because the dragging tool, when used, can be painful to get multiple selected bricks placed in the vertical position I want) and so I'd select the brick and move it vertically on its axis to line it up vertically with one of the pyramid entrance bricks. Well at the bottom of the pyramid entrance the brick is something like 78.8 and no matter how hard I tried, no matter what tool, I could not get the brick adjusted to vertically align with the brick located at 78.8, it would instead want to be placed at 88. This has happened with the giant Sphinx and even the grey plates on the stairs vertically aligning with top brick stair. |
