*Below is the Mandate on the Liturgy of the Word as per guidelines set down by [VC]Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments*
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Whole Procession* - Once the Procession Reaches the Altar, the Altar Boys and Deacon halt, while the Thurifer incenses the Altar, thoroughly.
*Thurifer* / *Acolyte* - The Thurifer then returns to his position in the Procession, the Altar Boys *Including Thurifer make a sharp left turn and take their places along the left wall, and face the Priest as he bows at the altar.
*Priest* - *Using a kneel/bow tool* [The bow action is mainly accomplished *After selecting the tool # of the Kneel/bow tool, by pressing 'c'; this is then pressed again to return to standing position*].
*Priest* / *Deacon* - As the Priest ascends the steps to the position behind the altar, the Deacon accompanies the Priest, and stands next to the Altar Boys, in line.
=THE BEGINNING OF THE LITURGY= ----------------------------------------------------------------- In the Roman Rite, the preface opens with the following:
Priest: Dominus vobiscum
People: Et cvm spiritu tuo
Priest: Sursum corda
People: Habemus ad Dominum
Priest: Gratias agamus Domino Deo nostro
People: Dignum et iustum est
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The current English translation has:
Priest: The Lord be with you.
People: And with your spirit.
Priest: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them up to the Lord.
Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God
People: It is right and just.
