steins;gate: about a guy that discovers he can time travel using his microwave. he learns of the consequences of tampering with time and he has to undo his actions to prevent a bad future. it starts of kind of slow, but it starts to pick up a few episodes in. then things start to get serious, and when i say they get serious, i mean they REALLY get serious. very emotional and stuff. a great series, probably my favorite. also has a movie
bakemonogatari, nisemonogatari, nekomonagatari, monogatari series second season, and soon to be kizumonogatari: about a half-vampire guy that just sorta runs into a bunch of different girls that are all afflicted by some supernatural being or curse and how he helps them. the series is cut into ~4 episode arcs for each of the girls, but basically the entire show is the main character just walking around the town talking to the various girls he comes across. about 95% of the show is completely centered around dialogue and character interaction, so if you're into that you'd love the show. but it's seriously dialogue oriented, like in one episode around 15 minutes are spent by the main character and one of the girls sitting in a car talking about nothing in particular
mushishi: about a wanderer that travels old japan helping people afflicted by mushi, which are these ghost bug things. very atmospheric and mellow, which makes some people think of it as boring. each episode is its own story, meaning they have no relation to each other at all aside from the main character, and most are sad. it's like a collection of fairy tails and the main character dealing with each one
all that really come to mind right now. there are plenty of others i liked quite a bit, but when you say "great anime series" i don't really think of listing things like school life's or stuff like that |

Digimon Data Squad.
It was the 6th Digimon series. It is about a boy(about 13 or 14) who meets a creature called a digimon and they end up working for a secret goverment organization called D.A.T.S.(Digimon Accident Tactics Squad) The DATS team go up against different digimon from a place called the digital world. Eventually the series then has a story line. |

Sword Art Online 10,000 players are trapped in a Virtual Reality MMORPG. They cannot log out of the game. The only way to log out of the game is if you clear the game. If you die in the game, you die in real life. Lots of action and a bit romantic. Second part of the series isn't nearly as intense as the first part, it's more romantic. |

Kaze no stigma Angel Beats Soul Eater Beyond The Boundary My Little Monster Toradora Full Metal Alchemist or FMA Brotherhood. Sword Art Online Fruits Basket Free! Iwatobi Swim Club Durarara!! Ano Natsu de Matteru Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo Watemote Those are just some of my favorites. Most of them have romance..actually all of them do. But I think they're really good. I just realised I'm terrible at describing things, and that's a lot of anime to describe. So I did my best. |

Code Geass.
If you like Death Note, then you'll possibly love Code Geass. Great series, don't want to make a short description because I'll eventually spoil it.
I recommend the series. |
