The series of plagues and outbreaks, turning even to devastating and destructive pandemics and unstoppable forces of nature, swept the world in the 2050s. The world's resources were rapidly depleting, as the instability in many countries, especially those in the Middle East and Africa, grew. Nations waged war over the few resources they had left - only a few, if any , feverishly worked to find a cure or perhaps a vaccine for the spreading diseases and end the pandemic.
Tensions between china and Russia grew, right until the point where a full scale war was waged between the two superpowers; the US, drastically weakened in the major economic and political changes in the 2020 and 30s, was unable to intervene on behalf of the rapidly crumbling and ineffective UN. In the Middle East, Iraq , free of US occupation, had succumbed to another dictator and attempting to seize Iran's huge oil deposits, declared war. The Saudi Arabian navy again clashed with the Iraqi navy and denounced their unprovoked aggression against Iran.
Australia, Indonesia, and most of Southeast Asia had signed an alliance treaty, referred to as the Pacific pact, they were fighting from the coast of Southern India to the Persian gulf, in which they provided limited military and economic support towards Saudi Arabia and Iran. Japan continued to maintain peace, but still squabbled with china and the Pacific pact, and all though no war was declared, it was still a very frightening experience for leaders of countries involved with the tense negotiations in Asia, with China fighting a war with Russia and the members of the Pacific pact engaging in conflict with India and Iraq.
In Europe, the Czech Republic erupted into a vicious civil war between government and rebel forces; the rebels prevailed after four years of bloody warfare, despite economic support from many Western European countries to aid the government forces, a dictator arose as the victor. Utilizing the now battle hardened Czech troops, he would bring Slovakia under his occupation and Poland to the brink of collapse. After taking advantage of Slovakia's general instability and failure to bring forth a competent leader, their defeat followed after only a few weeks of war. In 2054, the dictator declared war on Poland; seeking to expand his new 'Czechoslovakia' and his influence into Eastern European countries, he signed a ten year mutual defense non aggression pact with Russia in Moscow.
General Morov mensky, a Czech who was of Russian origin, lead an army of 40,000 troops, along with around 150 Russian supplied tanks and aircraft, marched into Russia, followed by the polish government declaration of war on Czechoslovakia. Despite Poland's advantage in numbers, the polish army was poorly equipped compared to Russian supplied Czech weaponry and vehicles; aerial dominance was achieved the moment they entered Polish airspace. Three polish division were incapacitated at Krakow, which was surrounded by Czech troops, outgunned and with no where to go, the Czech army itself suffered no more than 5,000 casualties - although it was not to affect the future victories to come, the small army suffered a large portion of their total forces than what was estimated and predicted in the invasion. Wroclaw followed Krakow, as resistance collapsed, Czech troops recruited locals before continuing on to their next prize - Warsaw.
The war in Asia was a stalemate. An initial Chinese assault on Vladivostok was repelled, although it was taken in 2055, the Soviets quickly recaptured it. Naval dominance was nowhere to be seized by any side, with battles with no real gain. A soviet offensive near routed the Chinese in Harbin, if it were not for the Chinese Air Force, Manchuria would have fell. The pacific pact had secured Southern India, despite heavy resistance and casualties, and a massive evacuation effort was launched due to rhe fact that large elements of the Indian army were to converge on the secured areas, which failed due to retrieved intelligence relayed to admirals in the Indian navy; both sides suffered heavy losses.
In the Middle East, Iraq had captured Tabriz and with Sunni soldiers arresting religious students in Qom, a combined Iranian and Saudi Arabian effort forced Iraq to withdraw to the former designated political borders as Saudi Arabia completely threatened their Southern flank. Basra fell and so did most of Northern Iraq in a counteroffensive.
Czechoslovakian troops were completely destroyed at Warsaw as Poland, aided by Germany, France, and the UK, surrounded the Czech army in a hopeless situation. Germany had declared war on Czechoslovakia, which was met with no response except for open aggression and hostilities from the Soviets [in terms of military action] and were busy fighting a war in Eastern Asia. Prague fell in 2056, ending the dictator's short reign.
The chaos continued to reign in South America. Brazil, with the same intentions as the dictator of Iraq, invaded Venezuela; the success of the invasion would result in large portions of the worlds oil to be held in Brazilian hands, making them a bigger player in world affairs. President Giovanni Coullese, an ambitious man with dreams of transforming Brazil into a run down, starving, once regional power, into a true superpower nation, then proceeded with the military invasion, mobilizing nearly 200,000 personnel. The Venezuelan military quickly reacted, moving forces to the border in the couple of months it took to get it ready. This would be the army that would bring itself and the men in it to the gates of Caracas itself. The Treaty of Warsaw divided the former Czech Republic into occupation zones, like the Allies to Germany in World War II. The area west of Prague would be occupied by Germany, including Prague .The area east of Olomouc would be occupied by Poland, whilst the areas in the middle would be divided between Britain and France.
By then, the war between China and Russia was still a stalemate, with no actual gain from it. Both nations were rapidly depleting their resources and draining their sources of manpower. In India, the pacific pact suffered a devastating blow to their navy in the Indian sea. After being forced to fight on mountainous terrain in Myanmar, they retreated, being outgunned and outmanned by overlooking enemy forces. Iraq had pushed Iran out of their country, as they raided oil rigs and looted from oil deposits and destroyed supply depots; Saudi Arabia had pulled out of the war, following the complete withdrawal of the Indonesian navy to assist the Pacific pact in the Indian sea, and after years of neglect and focus on other areas of the military, the Saudi Arabian navy was no match for the Iraqis, and after their naval forces were crippled, Saudi Arabia was subject to amphibious assault. an their resources were becoming more scarce as they threw their military in a pointless struggle. Brazil in South America had seized Caracas following a massive battle with staggering casualties, and Venezuela had issued an unconditional surrender, Coullese did not have the effect he intended to do. After wasting all of Brazil's resources on the war against Venezuela, he would soon have a rebellion on his hands...
The pandemic had already swept throughout the world then, causing mayhem and chaos. It was not war that ended us, but a deadly virus. Being resistant to most medicines and technologies which would have been advanced but weren't due to war, that could otherwise easily stop it, it seemed as if it was the end of humanity.
Now, around twenty years after what most survivors call the beginning of the 'Reign of Terror', nations are beginning to pop up. Although many of the surviving nations in the ensuing chaos that followed the spread of the pandemic still existed, they were hanging by a thread, as some say, and soon followed suit with the majority of the world. We are beginning to rebuild. we are beginning to unite.
Welcome to Endless Bloodshed, where nations rise and fall, cities are rebuilt and razed, militaries are obliterated and created, resources are exploited and saved...

(Just like to say that China as of present has 2 Billion registered citizens however it only has a military force of almost 3 Million. The largest standing army in history was the Red army containing 16 Million or so active personnel. To have a large military you have to a good economy, a large population and to try and overcome military attrition. The Chinese army suffers military attrition and it is no where close to the Red army's size. That's why my nation has 700 thousand military, because it's realistic ;) |

| In a post apoc, military always goes up, because nations get poorer so people join in for money, and people become more power hungry, etc. |
