| Imho, I think it's just a cover up by the media to get more publicity. |

| I believe that it's possible, but I don't think it's the primary reason as to why we have violent people in our society. It is probably one of the smallest factors that contribute to violent behavior. |

If it makes kids more violent, I should be an assassin by now. It's not the games that are the problem, just how adults respond to games because of that false belief that games do so.
So no, not at all. Unless you immerse a child in a killing game letting them grow up with nothing other than death, maybe. Just maybe.
But games don't have as much as an effect as one might think. |

Seriously, with all the violent games I've played. I should have killed someone or stolen something already.
But I haven't. |

I agree with Mizuko here.
I've played GTA since I was 7. But my parents (Well my mom, I got no dad) made sure I understood that it was just a game. |

| Studies show that violent games desensitize kids to violence, and especially now that graphcis are getting better and better i'd imagine the effect is increased. |

"I can understand that, but still, it's usually nowhere near the level if you actually tried to murder somebody." i know to clarify, i'm not trying to say that the brain can't distinguish between fantasy and reality, but that games do less to desensitize people to violence than one might think |

@prop

Unless the child/person has a mental illness gaming will not really have an effect on them. Most of the people that do these shootings that are "linked to video games" always have some mental issue.

| It only makes them violent when you let them get their hands on COD and shooting games. |
