There is a reason E9 shut it down. He stated it himself repeatedly, so I won't bother going over it. No, the core of the problem is people who want the "old days" back.
What are these so called olden days? Generally speaking, these were the days when clans were enjoyable for us. The days when complaints were few and genuine fun abounded.
The real problem here isn't that clans have grown substantially less fun or even substantially different from what they used to be. The problem really lies with us, more specifically the older generation.
What I believe happened, and did happen in numerous cases, was people found clans to be extremely enjoyable. People then took more time for clans out of their Roblox and real lives. People began to take it more seriously. So seriously, in fact, that we didn't leave any room for the imagination and fun that we used to have. Over seriousness was compounded by the rise of discipline in clans. Discipline wasn't a bad thing when it was in moderation, but over time it evolved into staying completely silent and being repressed.
What I'm really saying is that the clan world has not changed so much as the older generation, and some newer people, have changed. The older generation influenced the younger clan members, who came to view the clan world the same as the older generation has. We've come to view the clan world too seriously. As a result, we're no longer having fun, like the good old days.
Another thing - there were loads of problems with the clans back then. Bases were extremely unfair, people flamed all the time, and there was little to no cohesion in many clans. But the critical factor was that nobody cared. Nobody complained because they were having too much fun playing a game. That's what this is, people. It's a game.
So, before you try reminiscing to the olden days, try to lighten up. Don't take as much time for Roblox. Try to enjoy yourself; if the clan you're in doesn't allow that, it isn't a good clan. If you feel you really can't take this less seriously. At least try to keep it fun for younger generations.
tl;dr - you should learn to read instead of being lazy
Thoughts?

Maybe...instead of constantly crying on the forums about how bad the clan world is, you can actually try to innovate on your own.
Care about the clans more this niche of individuals.
Just saying.
Back to the grind. |

@KIL
It's that kind of thinking that got us here.
If anything this should be taken less seriously. |

| I'll write my own reasoning behind why clans are declining when I finish working on NFC's external reformations, but I'll give you a hint what it's about: social conventions for clans in the past and present day. |
