I know this is a very broad term, but I can't find a better way to describe it. It feels forced to do any sort of programming. It's disorienting to feel this way because I've put so much work into knowledge of programming, I've been a programmer for years.
Can any of you guys relate? |

Most likely, you keep doing the same things over and over. No matter if it's programming or not, it's going to end up getting tiresome. Simple solution, make something new! However, that means new to you. So if someone else has already made it, that's no reason not to do it yourself. Also, aim for the hard things. Learning something new will help spice up things. And in the end, you have the satisfaction of having made something awesome. =D
That's how it is for me, anyway. When I do those tedious repetitive things in programming, it just becomes a chore. However, when I get into the fancy stuff, things I've never done before (or continue on what I have), that's when I get the thrill of programming. |

| I completely agree with Oysi. Mix it up, try new ideas. Perhaps delve further into the mathematics (Something I struggle with). Using trigonometrical *I don't know if that's a word* concepts in Roblox can be beautiful, for example. |

Lately, I feel like I've lost inspiration, and I don't know why, and I don't know how to get it back.
It feels like not having a purpose. I feel like I can't code, but I know I have the skill for it. |

I listen to this christmas song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qu5RY94ldDc
It sounds so good and gets me in the mood for making stuff. Now that I've listened to it I'm going to go work on my game!! xD |

No you just have to listen to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4un7Jedpicg&hd=1
Then dramatically, pick up your keyboard, and raise it to the ceiling light as if you were raising a new born child. Then as the music gets louder, and rises in intensity, up your posture, and begin to breathe heavily. Then you quietly say in a monotone voice, "I was born for this..." After that, you wait around 10-15 seconds until the track reaches its climax, and becomes awing, and then open up a script editor and begin typing random maths at 120 WPM.

| Sometimes getting motivated is key. Motivation can come from multiple sources, however I find that teaming up with other people on a project is effective. In my experiences, I have been motivated not to let my other team members down, and the collaboration that must take place gives you a good outline of what exactly you must do. Giving yourself a broad project is daunting, but if you plan it somewhat, you'll find that it suddenly becomes much easier. |

| I agree, but I'm the type of person that works well under pressure (and not so well if I'm not under pressure). I guess it varies |

"So if someone else has already made it, that's no reason not to do it yourself."
Says the one who said "maximum wannabe"
Anyways, the best way to do it is (if you're making a game) work with someone, just 2 persons. Also get other people (friends) to do other jobs that you want. Your job will be done much more faster. |

1. Take a break 2. Come up with something that actually motivates you (this can be difficult) In roblox its easy because you can make something interesting in a day or two and have many people look at it. |

Most of the time I get bored before I even finish a suitable release of a project, could be because I am bored with it already or find something about it that is disappointing / doesn't feel right. The only way I can get past this is if the idea is just too brilliant to give up on. |

| I felt the same about a certain project until I notice I learned something recently that can really help boost the progress of that project. Then I worked on it for a week or two, got it in a more presentable condition, ran into some tiny loading error as well as a complex AI I had to script, and got bored. .-. At least I still have the inspiration right now to finish the main part of my admin script I started so I can get to adding in commands. |
