I know a lot of people want this to be added. Clothes can be sold, so why can't models?
Say you own a building company or shop. The only way to make money is sell a shirt for the model, and then put the model for sale to the person that bought the model. But say the person that wanted the model also got all of his friends to take the model before you could take it off sale again, so now you got ripped off. Plus one of those people could use your model and sell it for a cheaper price. What I suggest is adding a way to sell models, just like clothes. You could not add thumbnails (prevents scamming, the picture would be the model), and once you purchase a model, you cannot put it on sale (prevents resale at cheaper prices). This would enable companies, shops, and independent users to make money off of their creations if it isn't getting popular in a place. For example, gun shops would appear, car shops, house builders, etc. |

This can't be controlled by roblox, there are way too many ways for people to copy models.

| What do you mean "it can't be controlled"? Of course it can. As an idea, if you have a piece of someone elses model in your model and you want to publish it, it wouldn't let you. Users could uncopylock or copylock their model in case they want users to edit the original. Like if you make building kits for studio build mode, you could set your model settings to where people could use the parts in it or not. |

| This shouldn't be applied to ROBLOX be cause this will reduce the amount of ROBLOXians to build, and their creativity will be blocked be cause for example, they think of a good idea for a game/place, and they realize that this model they need has a cost they can't afford. |

| @silent A good game shouldn't use very many free models. Models specifically made for the game I understand, but things they found and threw them all together is probably not going to be a good game. |

| You add the model into your game, select the bricks, save it as a new model, voila, you have just stolen a model and can resell it. |

@Mik They obviously wouldn't just add this without editing studio or making copying models impossible. They'd need to change minor things |

| @Exo I explained that somewhat in the post. They would need to edit minor things to make copying impossible. |

It wouldn't require minor changes. Say, you buy a model. You add it into studio, break it apart, work with it for a while by changing names etc, then you select the model again, save it and sell it. It would require large changes to block this, and still be bypassable.

| I am sure they could find a way to do it. Now that they added the price floor, people aren't making as much money since a lot of people buying things were people without BC, and now it requires more patience do buy something. The roblox economy would benefit from sellable models. |

Trojan I think you don't understand how it works, once someone places it into studio they can take the model from the XML file format or from memory using cheat engine or some other thing.

| @Fatty I do understand how it works. I am saying they would need to change some things for this to be implemented, but I am sure it can be done. |
