I would love to see something like Outlines, called Distance-Blur. Its very simple to explain. Objects that are far away appear blurry and closer objects look more sharp, and more in focus.
When it first comes out, it can just be how far away objects have to be to be blurry. Then with further updates, you give options to customize it more.
The possibilities with 'Distance Blur' would be tremendous. |

Support. I would love this. Prevents you from seeing far away, but not using a solid color like fog. |

Great idea. We could have a game where everyone is partially blind!
But seriously, I would love it if Roblox actually added this. Do you think it would create much lag though? |

Well they did 'Dynamic Lighting' and it doesnt make intense lag.

| Rendering processes would take ages to acquire this unique add-on. The only thing I would recommend is to make it so that you have a choice to use this, like global shadows. |

Yes, like outlines.
But it could be like fog, too. Always there, just too far away to ever see. |

| I would support this if the game creator could disable this or enable this. |

To be honest, I'm kind of on the fence about this. It seems interesting, and I can see it being useful for many games; But at the same time, I think the blur would mess with your eyes a little too much. Kind of like when you play the 3DS and look at it on the wrong angle.
Somewhat support, -Renas... |

Yeah, I guess you kind of have a point. But still, if it were an option, most people wouldn't use it because the people who have it off have an advantage in games that require long range. For example, most shooting games (which there are a lot of).
But I do see your point a little, -Renas... |

It would be good for shooter games. Scripters would love it. Field of veiw.
You can use a Gui for this though. |

| This is called Field Of View. You can actually emulate a faux-fov by setting just the right amount of fog, which makes farther away objects appear to have less contrast, which is what fov does. |

| Enigmatic, we're talking about using actual Gaussian Blur ingames. Maybe Roblox should add a Post Process feature as well. |

@bloxa
I know. I was mentioning a faux technique for simulating FOV, not an actual post-processing technique. Obviously the post-processing technique will look better and perform better, but the faux technique will suffice. |

@bloxabrick
Sometimes you have to settle for less if the feature is not yet implemented via post-processing. Of course I agree; why settle for less? But sometimes you have to. |
