-LONG POST The main reason I trust the NewBright Remote Control Vehicle brand is because of their unique quality. Every other R/C I've received broke within an hour or a day. Every NewBright I've owned stayed it quality for years. The only thing that would stop me from getting my gasp of R/C entertainment with a NewBright was loosing the battery charger, or running out of double A's.
The only one by this brand that happened to let me down was their smaller ones, I call disposable ones that are selling from 8-10 dollars in most stores. I had got the Ford F-150 Raptor SVT R/C from the smaller collection and it was a 27mhz, and it failed to impress. I had used cheap dollar store batteries in it, and I only got around 6-10 minutes run time until it had little to no speed or hull. I didn't expect much for a cheap R/C, but I most certainly didn't expect a battery draining disposable.
But then my Sister got me a remote control car as a early Christmas gift. She is 10 years older then I am. I thought, Nice! It's better then my last one without knowing how it ran.
My dad had to get something for his truck, so we took a quick run by walmart and picked up some Duracell +AA's since that's what this R/C required to run.
Once we got home it was nighttime and the skies where dark, so I decided to take it for a little ride in my house before getting some shuteye.
I took it out of the box and it was nice. The model was of a Dodge Ram Diesel Cummins, a.k.a the best truck in the world besides the F-150 and silverado.
I put the batteries in it, it required 4 for the vehicle, and 2 for the remote. This one was also 27mhz, so I was kind of concerned about it.
I turned it on to give it a little test run for the next day and sat it on the floor and took off. It was really, really fast and at first didn't have much grip to the ground, so I was doing 180's and 360's all over our laminate and tile flooring. When I hit reverse while speeding, it did a complete drift and turned the truck around. I was like "sick!" and drove it back to the living room. It was up and down our hall within 3 seconds, so this made me very happy. It's hull and performance where intense, because it was driving straight over plastic bags and bundled up bluejeans that where laying around.
I was very happy with it and decided to go ahead and turn it off for the night, after I was playing with it for about 10-15 minutes driving around furniture, scaring the living heck out of my dogs and spinnin' burnouts and 180's all over the floor.
I got some shuteye and the next morning turned it on for another run. I played with it for about 20 minutes and decided to go ahead and play roblox for a little while, and turned it off.
Then when the sun came out, I took it for a off road run, out here in the beautiful country. I was a little weary about driving it offroad risking ruining it, but I took the chance and drove it though the gravel and other terrain. As seeing there's snow all over the ground except for the driveway which has puddles and ice all over it I was kind of concerned if it would ruin it's performance. I drove it on the driveway, straight through water and mud puddles, over fallen leaves and then tested how it would work on the snow. I was EXTREMELY impressed with it's terrain capabilities, but I wasn't expecting it to work like a buzz on soft snow. So I decided to turn off into some snow and the only thing stopping this badboy was the way the snow built itself up on the tires, slowing it down and eventually getting it stuck.
As seeing it was a truck, who wants to just drive it on the road? am I right?
It worked well because the tires where textured with nice off-road grip tires and it's suspension was jacked up high. So it had no problem getting around that rough terrain. I even tried taking it on some grass, and at first, it was speeding straight though the grass, but as the grass got higher, the truck got slower in the wet grass and then stopped. So I took it back on the rocks, on my grandparent's driveway and there gravel is 4x as big as ours, so their like a mountain track for my R/C. I drove it though the driveway and it had absolutely no problem at all making it over the driveway, and even had nice speed.
If you want to do some major off roading with it, I suggest adding some wait in it's hull and it should have better off roading capabilities.
I was very impressed since this was just a 2WD.
Usually the 4x4's are the ones that can just drive on any old terrain.
So for a remote control truck it's pretty nice. 10/10 stars for it's great quality.
For on road use, I wouldn't suggest it, since it just slides and rolls everywhere, unless you're the kind of person who wants to drift a pickup, then it's for you!
For offroad use, I would suggest this to anyone, especially the good ol' country folks wanting a R/C to toy around with, with their spare time.
The box's specifications where lower then it's real quality.
It said each time you put the batteries in it, you have 30 minute run time, but with Duracell Alkaline batteries, it was still running pretty nice after an hour and a half.
It said it could reach up to 100 ft. away from the remote while you where driving, but it could reach probably up to 130-132 ft.
This being said, I could sit right back all cozy in my garage while it was raining, and soaked outside, playing with my R/C with no problems.
It still isn't ruined even though it's had a mud bath, slingin' and soakin' in mud puddles, getting rained on and getting stuck in snow, it's just as great as it was when I took it out of the package!
I recommend to anyone to pickup a NewBright R/C Dodge Ram Diesel Cummins' Pick Up. -You won't regret it! |
