How does it work? How do I use the returned/decoded JSON data from my URL? Or is that not what it's for? :c
(if it is, time to make blocks/maps loaded by HttpService!) |

I'm actually curious to know this too. I've never worked with HTML or web stuff, so I don't know how all of it works and how I could make use of it :P |

GetAsync just does a GET request (or if you don't know, you have probably seen something like: website.blah/?key=value&key2=value
Post does a POST |

You need to have a website that runs a server-sided code that displays your JSON string on the page (echo in PHP)
GetAsync would return this test to your game.
PostAsync would send data from the game to the server and will get saved/processed.

| Wait, you can use domains other than roblox? Now we could make a game wide and place backups, among other things. |

http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/RBX.lua.HttpService_(Object)
"This service allows for a user to send HTTP requests from a game server. This enables users to create integration with a wide range of third party services such as analytics and storage. One exciting prospect for this service is that if you run and manage your own website, and communicate with it from ROBLOX, it opens the possibility of remote server management and real time communication with the server, through your site."

| I understand. I'm still looking for a "simple English" explanation on how the two JSON functions work. Is it possible to do a "for" loop for every array there is? (i.e. remote block loading) |

This is pretty cool. Makes me want to make a place again. You could do pretty much anything, even loading models. Really opens up a lot of possibilities.
An interesting use would be a really good ban list. Or loading dynamic content without updating the place itself. You could have more complex group stuff. |
