If you used Free Models, then the only way to reduce lag that won't consume a ton of time is to delete some items. I recommend deleting the most recent Free Model you inserted first, then go backwards in terms of insertion. This will work if one Free Model has a bad script in it, however, if you have many Free Models in your game, it could be just too many Free Models.
If you created the game from scratch and created scripts that you wrote, try looking at your loops to see if you can slow down the speed of the loop a bit. If you have many while wait() do, or while true do wait(), put in the parenthesis of the wait function .1, so it would be while wait(.1) do or while true do wait(.1). This will help reduce lag, because instead of going 3/100's of a second, the code now goes 1/10th of a second, which doesn't make much of a difference visually, but it does reduce lag code-wise. Same goes for for loops as well.
There is a new book called "ROBLOX Building Guide" on Amazon that has a chapter on lag and how to reduce it in your games. |
