If I make a surface GUI facing outside of a window and look at the GUI through the window, it doesn't dim at all. To contrast the issue, if I make the window's transparency 0.01, it would still show the GUI through this opaque (but still transparent) brick.
I scoured for a solution but it doesn't look like there's one. Will this ever be patched or will we ever be able to have a property that will allow us to do so? |

If you want to test this out but don't want to make a demo of it yourself, feel free to check it out at my place: http://www.roblox.com/NFU-The-Blackout-of-Celeste-BETA-NO-RAIDING-place?id=84247878
The GUI takes place in the second floor of the building you see in that thumbnail. Just note that the map is HUGE. |

@little Then it would dim when you're NOT looking through the window. |

@little You think he's talking about the GUI not going transparent with the brick it is on, but he's talking about when you look at it through another brick. |

I've been wanting to get an invite since the release of RbxDev,
but I still have yet to do something to get the mods' attention. :c |

I got the mod's attention by saying "@Shedletsky Can I get on RbxDev?" on LuaLearners.
Granted, I was a moderator, so I may have an unfair advantage, but just ask. We're not as exclusive as people think; if you're good and have proof, you can get in.

| I just thought of a suggestion I want to post there last night, but forgot it. I will do it later when I remember. I do remember it was about a callback. |

| Just remembered as I hit post o3o It was a suggestion to use a callback for streaming objects. Any problems with it before I do go posting it later? |
