same here. this is how to make Korean Chicken Porridge: Take a bunch of rice (I think 3 1/3 cups each)(sweet and shortgrain) that have been soaked in water for 2 hours (you can speed up process, but i'd prefer not to, you have to clean the rice too, water has to be clear) then boil a lot of chicken broth (6 oz i think) and put the soaked rice in. cook for about 14 minutes or until the rice looks like a soup, not individual rice. then add the chicken for a few minutes (2 or so) and serve the soup in bowls. put horizontally sliced scallion on the soup and now your porridge is done!!
Make sure you serve it cold.

Chocolate and orange marble affect cake ---------------------------------------
Ingredients: .Self-raising-flour .Sugar .Orange flavouring .Hot chocolate powder .Eggs .Butter
Instructions:
1. Put 6 ounces of self-raising-flour, 6 ounces of sugar, 6 ounces of butter, and 3 eggs into a bowl.
2. Beat it all together until it is ready.
3. Get another bowl, a bit smaller than that one.
4. Pour some of the mixture into the smaller bowl and put in 2-3 spoonfuls of hot chocolate powder.
5. Mix the mixture in the smaller bowl until it is just brown.
6. Line a cake tin with greasproof paper.
7. Put a few (3/4) capfuls of orange flavouring into the bigger bowl and give a quick stir for a few seconds.
8. Spoon bits of each mixture into the LINED tin and make a sort of layered thing.
9. Get a knife and make the brown mix swirl to make the marble effect.
10. Put the tin in the oven and check every few moments(I think) until the cake is ready.
11. When it is ready, take the paper off and put it on a plate. Decorate if you want.
12.Eat and enjoy! :) |

I actually take an independant cooking class at my school here's the one that I'm going to be making this week, Chocolate pinwheels: serves: 24
Ingredients: .1/2 cup butter .3/4 cup white sugar .2 teaspoons vanilla extract .1 egg .1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour .1/2 teaspoon baking powder .1/2 teaspoon of salt .1 square of semi-sweet chocolate
Directions: 1.Cream the butter with sugar and vanilla until light & fluffy. Beat in egg. 2. Melt chocolate (or chocolate chips) over double boiler or in a bowl in a microwave oven. Stir until smooth. Let cool. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Add flour mixture to the creamed mixture and stir well. Divide dough in half. To one half stir the melted chocolate until well combined. 3. To make pinwheels: On waxed paper roll out each half of the dough into a 12x10 inch rectangle. Brush one layer w/ milk and and place the other on top. Peel off waxed paper and roll up like a jelly roll. Chill dough thoroughly. 4.Slice cookies thinly and bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
I have a BUNCH of other dessert and other recipes where that came from! |

Smoothie thing ---------------------
(Me and my friend made this up but we were JKin'....)
What you need:
Strawberries Apple juice Cheese Sauce Dough Strawberry Milk Brownie Crumbs Strawberry Frosting Tablespoon Mixing Bowl (Any size) ----------------------- STEP ONE: Mash your strawberries until you just have small chunks left STEP TWO: Take your dough, sauce, and cheese and make a small (6 inch) pizza. STEP THREE: Put all your frosting around your brownie crumbs. This'll make it easier to put in. STEP FOUR: Put in your 6in pizza, and pizza in. STEP FOUR: Take your tablespoon and put in 7 tablespoons on strawberry milk. STEP FIVE: Take your same tablespoon and put in 1 tablespoon of apple juice. STEP SIX: Put your strawberry sauce thing and just put it in your mixing bowl with the rest of the ingredients. STEP SEVEN: Stir gently. Make sure you dont smash anything! STEP EIGHT: Make sure your smoothie isn't smashed up at all. STEP NINE: Take a few glasses and serve them at a party or something NOTE: This smoothie thing is great for summer, just add ice cubes on the hot days and cool off with this drink!

Microwaved Egg
You need
1-2 Eggs A mug A Microwave - 1:Crack a egg into the mug. 2:Put mug into microwave, cook for 45- 60 seconds 3: Take out and Enjoy!
There is a slight chance that the egg will explode. It doesn't hurt anything, just clean the microwave.

I got a good one thats spicy but has great taste. Food: Hot & Spicy Rice Cake Ingredients: Sticky white tube rice cake, triangular fish cake, hot pepper paste, water, sugar, garlic, onion, and green onion Making: 1:Get the rice cake tube and cut it into about 4 inch pieces and do this until you have 40 peices. 2:Go ahead and put in 4 cups of water, 3 tablespoons of red pepper paste, and a tablespoon of sugar in a pan and mix and boil for about 5 minutes a little over medium heat. 3:Go ahead and put in minced garlic and chopped onion and chopped grean onion into the pan and mix and boil for another 5 minutes again at a little over medium heat. 4:Now go ahead and get your rice cake and fish cake and put that on the pan. Just mix and boil until you see that the sauce is thick and the rice cake is glossy, and there is your ready to serve hot and spicy rice cake. Serving: The best part! Keep everything in the pan and serve with friends, family, or anyone and eat with chopsticks. Great recipe that I grew up on cause of my Korean family and I hope you enjoy! |
