| ...I personally think the best bands are the ones that try something new, even if it makes them look bad. Like how Metallica tried out with classical music and Korn tried out with dubstep. Bands dont sound as good until they try something new. Thats what I think. |

| I agree. Although it doesn't always work out, it's good for bands to try and broaden what they do. |

I do agree, Arctic Monkeys newer album was much different and I liked it.
"Bands dont sound as good until they try something new" I don't agree with this phrase though. |

| I have to disagree. It depends on what they're doing differently. Linkin Park, for example, went from nu-metal to Alternative, and though I like the previous album that they released in 2012, I don't really like their newer album, and when I pre-orded it, I was dissapointed, so it really depends on what they're trying to do to make their music different. |

It's still something new they tried, though...

| Except KoRn sounded terrible when they tried dubstep. |

"but it's not a new idea"
This thread isn't about a band making something completely original, it's about a band trying new things.

| For me, the self-titled, Issues and SYOTOS were the best. The rest were repetitive and cheesy. |

Guys guys guys
You're getting off track. The point of my thread is bands try something new when it may be bad or not
My favorite album is S&M. Path of Totality only had two good songs, Get Up! And Narcissisticcannibal, and this is coming from a Korn fan! :/ |
