Don't get butthurt, fanboys. 1: more realistic (don't bring up the defibrillators, we know...) 2: Vehicles 3: Can edit classes/kits in-game. 4: Wider variety of weapons. 5: NO SCREAMING LITTLE KIDS. 6: Team players (occasionally 7: Bigger maps. 8: More fun to play. 9: You can equip your knife without taking away a weapon. 10: NO QUICKSCOPERS Now this was my personal opinion, therefore you have no reason to be angry with me, you play what you play, I play what I play. Any negative or derogatory comments upon my opinion will make you look like an idiot as I have stated that this is my PERSONAL OPINION. |

"more realistic"
So, realism involves being able to deploy a parachute countless times over, and being able to deploy it when you are only 70 inchs off the ground?

yea i do except if you put hard work into something you should be able to do with it as you please if i made a game and i really worked hard on it I'd make DLC for it, but not milk it, which EA doesn't do, they just add day one DLC to make a quick buck (which iirc it's free if you preorder) |

no they probably have a team dedicated to making DLCs and a team dedicated to making the main game and fixing bugs |

"what's your point"
content most likely removed from the game
which leads to the conclusion that the people who made the game probably worked on this rather than the DLC people |

i personally prefer cod over bf.
why?
cod has server-sided hit detection, vs bf's client-sided hit detection. what does that mean? let's say that person A is lagging hard, and person B is an innocent victim with a good internet connection. the two get into a heated battle, and person B runs behind some hard cover. everyone sees it that way, except person B. person B still sees him standing still and shooting, so he keeps shooting at the lag-ghost of him. unfortunately, like a voodoo doll, person A takes damage even though he is far away from the area of danger, and dies out of nowhere. |

my opinion on your opinions
1: more realistic (don't bring up the defibrillators, we know...) realism isn't something that wants to be achieved in cod - and while i'm here, it's not something that games should strive for at all. 2: Vehicles Yep, vehicles are pretty nice. 3: Can edit classes/kits in-game. That's a nice touch. 4: Wider variety of weapons. That too. 5: NO SCREAMING LITTLE KIDS. I never really encounter these 'screaming little kids' when I play CoD. I feel it is something exaggerated by people who only watch videos of cod where they are trolling said little kids, or just don't play regularly to experience it. I might be wrong with both, I might not. 6: Team players (occasionally) Yes, there's more opportunity to play tactically with friends with more team-based gameplay. 7: Bigger maps. Eh...That is because Battlefield has the features to suit them: Vehicles, larger server capacity etc. Imagining CoD on a larger style map such as those does not work. 8: More fun to play. nothing to say here really 9: You can equip your knife without taking away a weapon. a little specific, but ok 10: NO QUICKSCOPERS I can see where you're coming from, quickscopers come across to me as more obnoxious players, but it doesn't affect your own gameplay too much, as they are hampering their own ability to play effectively.

CODG has bigger maps than previous CODs, and I would like to counteract a few of you reasons.
It's name Battefield for a reason, so the devs oughta know that it would fit if the maps were really huge for scale-warfare, where as COD does not support that. They are both different games solely, but if you compare the difference is fine as is. You should need a game to retreat to if you hate big maps, unusual controls and gameplays and physics, etc.
I have BF3 and BO2. Sometimes I play BF3 and come back to BO2 after 2-3 matches because I'm not used to the large maps. The Battlefield realism (which in personal and technical terms, BF and COD both don't have mass realism, if we're talking about arcade-style virtual shooters and games) doesn't suit me either.
TL;DR == I prefer COD over Battlefield because of my own preferences and you can definitely infer that some of your reasons can be counteracted in some way. |
