After quite some thinking, and looking to the future, I believe many of us see better things in the past. However, at the same time, we must not make it our goal to forgot our progress into the future, yet to incorporate the values that made the past good, into the future. One big staple of clan history are the are Ro-Wars. Looking back at this year, none of these happened. Why? One may ask. Clans have turned away from fun, and turned towards the idea that the only thing that makes a clan is how many clan's you've beaten. This often leads to group leadership devaluing fun, and moving towards other things. As we look into the decline that seems to of occurred this year, we can notice the lack of a Ro-war as perhaps one of the causes. I believe few people on C&G can say being involved in a massive Ro-War was not fun. Therefor, I am proposing, with the backing of The Guild Initiative, a Ro-War, for 2014. Now many have said thing such as "I dont want the way my clan is fighting controlled by some group" or "Its power hungry to try and control who and how clans fight" However, respectfully, I do not believe that is what the Initiative serves to do, for this war. The goal of the Initiative would be several things, in the planning of this war 1) Assurance that the war is enjoyable, and not boring. 2) Determining a clear victor at the end. 3) Bring back past values while moving forwards to the future. There are several ways we plan to do so. A) The war will feature three factions, assuring constant struggle for power, adding more competition to the combat. B) The Ro-War will be for enjoyment only, for example, current allies during this war, such as FEAR and RAT may be enemies for the duration of the war, yet when it ends, they will return to allies. This removes the stress of "OGM I DONT WANT TO BE DEFEATED BETTER DO DESPERATE STUFF". C) All members of the factions will defend one specific base. Unlike past Ro-Wars, where sides may of switched bases, making it unclear who to attack, one base, will be defended by all members of the factions D) The bases for each faction will be fair. Each faction's base will be designed by the Initiative with a unique style for that faction. Admin will not be given to anyone except the Initiative's council, who will act as moderators for the war. E) Basic war rules - these will be laxative, and enforced. There will be no rules regarding flaming, however, most will focus on glitching/exploiting. F) A definable end to the war, this will create a clear winner in the end, and give the factions pressure to go all out in the final days of the war.

| You're taking the 'Obama approach' to fixing the clan community. That's not gonna work. We don't need small bursts of activities, we need to change the whole clan system |

| I suggested how in another thread. We need to encourage clans to stop just building bases, we need to start making games that 'incorporate' clans into them rather. The periodic war idea won't last long, people'll get bored and eventually stop doing them |

| I do agree, that games with clans in them would be cool, even if it had nothing to do with the clan. Might be cool if there was a zombie game where players played in the clan universe. For example, if it was based on FEAR, perhaps you'd be in an ATC lab, and there would be dead FEAR guys, and it would have FEAR weapons, etc. |

I've never stated this is for superclans only, as the Initiative is open to all clans , so is this concept.

As said in point B, alliances wouldn't determine which faction your clan joins, as it would be just for fun, and the pride of having your faction win. |

Its almost implied I'd like to see an alliance hosted by a super clan that presses "accept all allies" button. |

As Iroc has said before, the only requirement is that the clan be known, and not in terrible standing on C&G. i.e. No GG. As for the accept all allies button, I don't have access to the admin panel, but I'll talk to Iroc about it. And finally, I feel I've said this far too many times, FEAR is not involved in anyway other then a normal representative in the Initiative. |
