@cp
Human nature...sadly.
I'm guilty of it as well, but I'm trying not to bicker so much about which platform is better. |

| I don't have enough money to buy a good gaming computer, and all the hardware you need for a gaming PC to work. I own an Xbox360 and an old windows XP |

@propeller
No shet he said that.
But if you can't get a decent gaming PC for 200$, he should have put just 400$ instead. |

"I'm sorry, but there is no way you can get a decent gaming computer for 200$. "
actually you can get a gaming computer that will play games well enough for $200
you must not know much about hardware
CPU: AMD A6-5400K 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor ($59.98 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Biostar A55MD2 Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard ($49.98 @ OutletPC) Memory: G.Skill 2GB (1 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($20.49 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($43.70 @ Amazon) Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6670 1GB Video Card ($68.22 @ NCIX US) Case: Rosewill FBM-01 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($22.39 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($39.99 @ Microcenter) Total: $304.75
keep in mind that when i say a price, i typically mean in the range of
e.g. $200 = $200-$299 (or possibly a bit over) |

"you must not know much about hardware"
I'm laughing at this because that's actually one of my hobby studies.
You haven't read many threads of mine, have you?
I'm just saying that 200$ can't buy a good gaming pc; I don't see how that automatically means I know nothing about hardware.

| it means you don't know much because you obviously do not know a lot about the power of lower-cost hardware, which is a large portion of hardware as a whole |

@meldo
You don't think I've tried to put together budget PC builds?
The hardware is crap for something that is supposed to offer a better visual fidelity than a console can.
Now, maybe if you spend 300-400$, you might be able to purchase a build that could be considered "okay" for gaming, but 200-300$ is a bit too low. |

"The hardware is crap for something that is supposed to offer a better visual fidelity than a console can."
because for around the same price it's going to be better
hurr durr obviously not
if you are willing to spend a bit more than a console you will get better quality, if not you'll get around the same quality (if not a little bit better) |
