Make sure to avoid the below pitfalls -- you're welcome :)
Being social and talking to other people blows: You lose so much time talking to people over the most stupid things. Example: I've lost about 5 hours today talking to friends, denying two people who wanted me to script them a training facility so they could become famous, and denying someone who wanted me to join his group.
Never listen to "managers" on ROBLOX: They don't know what the heck they are doing, unless you are in some prestigious development group. In ROBLOX, the best thing to do is usually work by yourself -- the more people brought onto a project, the less efficiently you can work on it.
Ignore "Idea" people: Just because someone has great ideas doesn't mean that they will be able to help you -- in fact, they will probably hinder you. Someone who simply has ideas can do nothing you cannot -- you have ideas too. That person will only get in your way. Feel free to take suggestions from them, but never let them into your development process.
Everyone on ROBLOX is either an idiot or an even bigger idiot: You have people who think that they are the best programmer in the world, who are extremely annoying and then repeatedly offer to help you with their mediocre skills, and then you have people who would kill for fame and fortune that have no skills whatsoever and expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter.
Never join a development team: Development team members on ROBLOX are most likely extremely lazy(from what I have seen). There are some good development groups out there, but your run-of-the-mill development group is only going to end up wasting your time.
ROBLOX isn't the root of all evil: When you have a scripting problem, it may seem that ROBLOX is the cause of it, but chances are, there's probably a way around it.
You will miss 1waffle1: When you learn enough about scripting that you think you will be able to post on the Scripters forum, you will probably be ridiculed by waffle for being an idiot. Despite how much you hate him, you will beg for him to lurk the forums once again when it is overrun with spam. |

*claps*
One part I disagree with partly:
"In ROBLOX, the best thing to do is usually work by yourself -- the more people brought onto a project, the less efficiently you can work on it."
It depends if the people you are working with are idiots like "idea" people, or if they are your friends who actually have skills of some kind and understand what you are talking about. |

| @Piggy: From my experience, in cloud development, people just stop working on a project after a certain point in time. When they don't get everything that they want, even if they are excellent scripters, builders, etc, they just don't want to work on it any more. |

| You have to choose the right people, most people just get lazy or bored of things too fast. |

| @dog: Notice where a put exceptions in the post. Also, this is a highly-generalized post simply to do more harm than good. Cautioning that everyone is a terrible person is going to help more in the long run than actually taking the time to find out. |

| @Agent: Correct -- I have decided to move out into the woods in the middle of nowhere and not have to deal with another single human being the rest of my life. |

| @Echo: True, but the person I'm working with normally doesn't give up until I give up. (Which honestly takes a long time) For example, me and him were building a map for 2 months straight, everyday. |

| @Piggy: I wish I could say the same :/ Every single project that I have worked on with multiple people up to this point has failed because the people I was working with, although decent in their field of expertise, were unable to continue holding on to that desire to complete the project. |
