Okay. I know this isn't the correct place to ask such a question, and I know you guys probably wont even answer me. And if that's the case I'll move onto yahoo answers.
I made a sim family 3 days ago. It first started out with my female character and her sister. They're both Vampires (Supernatural expansion pack) so obviously they're immortal, they don't age. The age they are currently doesn't matter. And this isn't the point. I had sons with her.. 5 of them. At first it was gonna be 3, but I was desperate for a girl sim. Still didn't happen.
BLAH BLAH BLAH.
You don't care, this is where the question begins. So I install a lot of mods. Master controller is one of them were you can personally decide what the sim looks like in create a sim mode, look at their carrer ETC. An accident happened (which it warned me could happen) and my male sim got .. IN IT. By in it I think you know what I mean. A bloated stomach. He had two children and now I have 8 sims in total.
I was wondering since I am unhappy with this if I could make another family and TAKE my sims from the current family into that family and separate play and move them into that new house. Without kicking them out.
Just a manual swap. I know this is confusing since I added all the unneeded stuff to the story. This is what I'm saying, easier to understand.
I want to move a few sims to a new home in a new game. While keeping their memorys, siblings, mother, father. ETC. Just a new house for them in a different game save. But keeping the previous family too. Them moved into the new game and the previous family separated from them and they can visit their home whenever, and I can decide weather or not to play that family.
I'm so so so sorry for the confusion. I hope someone can tell me if this is possible or not. And if it is PM or respond to me how it is, please and thank you.

@hey
No. I want to move these few sims into a new house, while having them in a seperate gameplay also.
A house with nobody in it and move those sims into the house without effecting my current sims and kicking them out.
If I moved them by cellphone I'd lose all my other sims and be unable to play them.

I've done the woohoo over 10 times. That's kinda the problem. Why I have too many sims and why I want to move others out to narrow it down yet keep those sims to play.

I don't think it works that way, I have 3 or 4 houses.
I can try to move them there by cellphone but by doing that I'm sure it'd say "This will be your new active family, would you like to continue" and my other sims wont be there, therefore I lose them. That is NOT what I want.

found this "You change your active household in edit town. Mind you that when you do this the computer will have control of your old active household and will be advancing them as it sees fit. You will also lose all wishes promised to those sims, and will have to promise new wishes should you come back to them later.
To the guy asking how to make more sims, I assume you mean in create a sim? theres a button with a big + on it for adding more to the family you are making. If you mean how do you make more families, then you would do that from edit town also." |

@Piki
Ugh. So basically, I can't do it without erasing my sims wishes and memories? So I'm stuck with 8 people and I have to kick out certain sims?

I'll do that, actually. I just want them to remember whose their brother and mother. And to be able to visit them with my current family still. Have them in town...

well actually I think according to the people on the thread, you can make the extra people part of the neighborhood if you want that unless you don't want to kick them out of the house. at least that way they'd interact with your current family. here's another post idk if it helps tho:
"They'll interact if ya use the Edit Town function and add them there. They all get added to the same neighborhood then. I've done it a few times already. Works fine." in reply to "Oh.. so if I wanted to have say 3 different families in one game, I'd go to Edit Town and add them there? I know in the old Sims you could make different families and when you played, they'd interact with one another. (I'd make one character, play her a while, save and make someone else to try something differently, and Character A would be in the neighbourhood I was playing B in.. they'd meet up, be friends etc. In Sims3 so far, each one has been in a new game/neighbourhood and they don't interact)" |

Oh my goodness, forget it. This is all stressful. I guess I'm stuck with 8 sims unless I read these over slowly and carefully to plan this out.
Thanks though. I really didn't want two kids in the sims.. It just ended up that way. (the male sims children)

Okay, another idea.
Is it possible to load an old save of the game? If that's possible I'll do that BEFORE the male sim was bloated. That way I don't got to worry.
