Since a lot of you don't have access to a webserver, I thought of opening a website to store data. (Or maybe store actions or something?)
You'd basically get a key to access your data. It could be something like:
http://rbxapi.com/YOUR API KEY/ACTION/key
An example:
http://rbxapi.com/asdgjasoigasb/get/(some username)_score
Would something like this be helpful or beneficial? I can get the domain pretty cheap right now so I think it'd be a good time if it'd help.
If not that many people would like this, I won't bother. |

| Good idea, you'd be respected for it. Maybe put a few adverts on there so you can gain a little yourself. |

| What Victimize said, although I don't know how much storage space it would take up. |

| 000webhost gives 1.5gb of disk space, and 100gb bandwith. So it's good. |

| Someone should purchase a Linux server that we can store mass amounts of data on. |

| The example you describe is exactly what the data store is for. |

@Oysi
You really have some nerve. You don't know my abilities at all. Obviously the bugs and security issues would be worked out before public release. And there won't be any downtime unless something is wrong with the server. (After public release)
Also, if you have the skill level and the tools to make your own, then this isn't for you. Hence the "Since a lot of you don't have access to a webserver" in my original post. |

One other thing:
If I have a script that increases a value on some external HTTP thing then decreases it when the game closes, could I accurately get the number of active servers? |
