I slit my wrists Every day Because they call me 'emo' and think it's okay
They say that only you Can make yourself happy But in this world of abuse How can you make yourself that way?
These so-called 'friends' Can only lie Straight to my face So I ask, Why can't I die?
I'm writing this poem For those who have Abused me, lied to me The ones who did this to me.
I ask, does it make you happy? Happy to drive someone to give up their gift? Their greatest one, known as life? Because you're making it so my joy has left
I slip the noose Around my neck Ready to lose Everything I've done
But one final question Before I kick the chair down So you know my emotional position Are you happy, now? |

They call me emo, so that I'll be. The idea of self-image is lost upon me.
It's all their fault that I'm the way I am; the world revolves around me. Why don't they give a damn?
I wish I could be coddled, let other care for my every need; it's a harsh world for *me* alone, so until I stop wanting to I'll bleed |

And as I fall into oblivion, sarcasm is lost.
I don't like your poem. Mine was a parody of it.
Your poem falls into the trap of overt sadness. Life is depressing, yes, but it's the same for literally everyone ever, and when you share poetry that's all about you crying about how unfair it is you're just being childish. I go on these forums to not be lonely, but saying that I'm lonely is just exacerbating the problem, if you get my analogy.
I think that everyone should write poetry like this, to provide a fount for negative emotions to escape, but it's not something to spread to the four winds. |
