The people from all of Earth's continents looked up at the sky. Their eyes gleamed dreamily and their faces were in awe. Celestial light shun down upon them and they felt a sincere joy that could not be explained. Then, one voice cried out amongst the crowds.
"Hail," the voice said. Then another repeated. Then another. Soon the word became a chant among a chorus filled with Earth's citizens. The word was cried out again and again, sending the people into a frenzy of devotion to this thing.
The chant began to lengthen, their faces became more ecstatic with each breath and every word.
"Hail to the Starbeast!" They screamed. "Hail to the Starbeast! Hail to the Starbeast!"
And with that, the Starbeast gleamed down with satisfaction. It was time. |

The people stopped their chants and replaced their cries of joy with that of pain. They fell over, scrambling to get up. They arched their backs and howled with ferocious intensity. The Starbeast looked down with it's enormous eye.
People cried and coughed up blood, many choking and some wishing they were. A faint laughter could be heard, on a frequency so sensitive and so low that their ears bled and their heads ached. The laughter echoed almost mentally - their skulls began to collapse from the sound of it.
The Starbeast cometh. |

no
STARBEAST was the original title for ALIEN, although I've come to really enjoy the term "STARBEAST". It makes me think of Lovecraftian beings that fly among the stars.
So I've decided to make one. |
