| When I read the Hunger Games series a couple years ago I loved it. When they announced they were making a movie I got excited for it! Until the fans girls hit. My issue is not with the viewers who are book readers but with the people who are watching the movie just because their friends are watching this movie. The people who watch it because it is the movie that "Everyone is watching". Instead of watching it because it has a great story. Don't get me wrong, not everyone is like that. Just a large percent of people are. Is anyone with me? Or am I just isolated on this island? |

Okay, so you hate the new fanbase.
That's not a good reason to say you dislike the series as a whole. |

Everyone finds out about something by something else.
If these people watch the movie because their friends are, it may cause them to get into the series and start reading the stories and becoming bigger fans than their friends initially were. |

| Sorry. Let me clarify. I DISLIKE the movie fan base. As well as the movies. I wasn't too impressed with the way they have been made so far. I apologize for the miscommunication. It just seems like I am the only person who doesn't like the films. I haven't met anyone yet who dislikes the HG movies. |

I think you just intimidate people, Leslie.
They just don't want to argue with you. |

It would be understandable to hate the fan base, but to hate the series itself because of them..? If I were you I would reconsider.

| I definitely understand where you're coming from. I feel like the fan base focuses too much on this idea of like... Team Gale v.s Team Peeta, as opposed to just enjoying Katniss' story. The books are fantastic and I read them before the movies came out. I DO love the movies, I just wish the fan base focused more on Katniss rather than her romances. |

Teen Romance/Sci-fi Fans are all the same, after a year or two they'll grow out of it, but for now you're just going to live with it.
The fanbase's are as popular as the show, sometimes even more. |
