Football: Offence: You run in 20-30 pounds of equipment while getting hit by 250 pound missiles called defensive backs that are running at aprox. 8 miles per hour and then you get slammed into the ground. Defense: You run in 20-30 pounds of equipment while reading a play, maneuvering off your block, watching for a reverse/trick while watching the ball, line of scrimmage and receivers, while making sure your body is in the right position so when you tackle you don't break your neck.
Soccer: You run countless yards kicking a ball. |

| Average pro soccer players run like 6-8 miles a game in 90 min. You run more in soccer |

| I love when rookies try out for the team and then you tackle them with all you got and they dont show up the next day |

lol, i play both sports, and honestly it takes a lot more time and practice to become a good soccer player than a football player in soccer, you have to time your shots completely, learn to shoot off-dribble, running techniques, defence techniques, footwork, how to pass the ball with your head (really tough)
in football, you have to learn how to throw a ball (easier than kicking since its easier to indicate where you're going to throw the ball), footwork, and defensive/offensive plays |

i've played both on club teams
i honestly think soccer takes a little more skill because when you're 1 on 1 it takes some serious footwork to keep the ball if the other dude knows what he's doing
football also takes a good amount of skill, but it's mostly just memorizing plays and running for short periods of time
soccer players are also actually more prone to injury to |

american football has had several studies which show it damages the brain, and other cognitive skills.
on the contrary soccer increases stamina, reduces blood pressure and basically keeps your body healthy....
gl trying to argue with me sir. |

There's a lot more to soccer then what you're saying. Also, I've seen soccer hits harder then football.

Except the fact that soccer uses a lot more skills than just "run and kick a ball."

| You can get injured pretty bad in soccer probably worse then football. First soccer game a goalie got kicked in the face after trying to get a ball. |

sorry "soccer" is football we got there first
for football, you have to remember your team's formations, along with who you need to look out for on the opposing side (marker priority), remembering the tactics discussed for the match and run around for an hour and 30 minutes while dodging and getting passed built equally aggressive defenders and midfielders with a ball between your feet
let's not forget, you get no break at all

@slayer,
please get off the soccer=football bandwagon
Seriously, if your going to be on that bandwagon get rid of the thought that football should be throwball etc, its a football because back in the day, the ball was 1 foot long (idk if it still is today in pro), not because of the body part. |

@person who said I've never seen football hits I watch football (because I'll debate about just about anything with my friends) And I've seen some pretty hard hits But seriously though, get off of the "soccer is for flipper babies bandwagons" The European league is corrupted like the NBA is. The stars can get away with anything. |
