What are the dimensions of a thumbnail to easily fit the frame? Should I make it a JPEG or a PNG?
Please help me out, thanks. |

| Okay, since most of these are bogus answers, I'll help you out. A nice high quality thumbnail is 1280x720. Make it a PNG and save it as the highest quality possible with 300 pixels/inch and 16bit RGB. |

| Thumbnails are more like a rectangle than a square, so I think the 430x420 is wrong. There should be a bigger gap. |

PNG is the best format.
The size for decals is 420x420 The size for group images is 75x75 The size for place thumbnails is 280x500 |

| RGB doesn't much, though higher RGB settings will make the file slightly larger. I'm used to making Youtube thumbnails which have a max upload size of 2MB so I try to keep the file sizes small. Setting the RGB to 24bit is fine. |

| Okay, since people keep posting really small thumbnail sizes, I will try to stress my point. DON'T USE SUCH A SMALL CANVAS! Keep the size at 1280x720, and you'll get a nice HD thumbnail. Thumbnails for places are displayed as 280x500, but it won't look as nice if you upload such a low-res image. |

Ok guys, here is what I do.
Go in game, and then take a screenshot of the pose/models you wish to be in the Thumbnail. Open the image up in a GFX program of your choice. Then you make your thumbnail. Remember not to expand it, keep it the same size as it was when you took the screenshot (it does the dimensions automatically when opened), and there you go! |

| Just save a picture of a game without a user-created thumbnail and look at its image size in a paint software. |
