Plus, iOS is only available on Apple devices. So manufactures cannot use it like Android.

@Virtual The most expensive computer they're selling is the Mac Pro, which is $2999, but it's more powerful than any Windows computer will ever be in the near future

Not really, I see you're a Apple lover, but Microsoft is working (Well computer manufactures not really Microsoft) on a high-end line of PC's for maybe $1000 or so.

Yea all Window's PC's are customizable and only a few Mac devices are.= customizable.

Meaning opening the shell and adding new parts.

@the yellow guy
First of all, stop being a smartass and stop PMing me.

Second of all, if you were smart you'd tell me what company created the ultrabook that you're using, there's multiple.

Third of all, I mean easily take off the shell, like slide it off, rotate some screws

Pretty much without screwdrivers.

I said most Mac devices can't be customizable.

I didn't say all.

I was not thinking about Windows laptops, but most desktops (and there's thousands of different choices unlike Mac's) are able to be opened easily.

Exhibit A:

iWork for iCloud - Free
Google Drive - Free
Microsoft Office 365 - $99 a year

All do the exact same thing
---------------------------
iWork; Macintosh work suite, add-ons cost extra.
Google Drive - primarily a storage device, more than 15 GB costs extra.
Office 365 - industry standard, you NEED it if you're going to do any real business work. Probably free for students.

--------------------------

Exhibit B:

Linux and Android - Free
Mac and iOS - Free
Windows and Windows Phone - $199, $30 (for phone manufacturer licensing)

Mac and Linux both include more features than Windows and are free
--------------------------
Linux can cost money. Android is for phones, not an actual OS.
Mac and iOS are not free, the price is included in the cost of the product you get with it. The reason iPhones cost more money than phones of similar specs is for the OS.
Windows costs so much because, again, industry standard. You NEED it if you want to get anything done in the world, because Mac and Linux OSs are so much smaller and just less powerful. You can argue this all you want, but the point is, I can't run Office on anything but Windows, and that automatically makes all other Operating Systems less powerful. Try and run a massive corporation with Linux or Mac, and you will not get far.
--------------------------

Exhibit C:

Xbox One - $499
PS4 - $399

Same specs, PS4 is even backwards compatible
--------------------------
XBox One includes the Kinect, which is a required accessory.
PS4 is NOT backwards compatible.

All of this being said, I think Microsoft abuses its position in the world. They are an extremely powerful company, and I love the products they make, but they are not a "good" company. They control their OS with an iron fist, and have so much proprietary software. This isn't even counting the stuff they tried to pull with Windows 8, locking down the BIOS and all that.

All I'm saying, is your reasons are incorrect. Microsoft does charge a lot for their products, and I don't think a lot of the prices are correct; they are also pretty evil with a lot of what they do. But, again, your logic on this is incorrect.
