Sometime in 2010 - 2011 the Insert Service was changed so that only models by trusted users (ROBLOX or the current place owner) could be inserted into places. This put "Insert Wars" games out of business and meant that creators such as my self could not use our content on these games. I have heard it suggested that the charge to Insert Service was done to prevent hackers from inserting their own models into games, and I can see why this was done.
However I have a solution to both this problem and a way to restore full functionality of the insert service. Allow place owners to turn insert service on or off (either in place properties or on the website) from either trusted users only or anyone (with access to an insert tool). This way, only games where content is intended to be inserted can have models inserted, and games with no intended insert service will not be able to have content inserted by hackers.
Please consider this! Isn't sharing our models what ROBLOX is all about? |
