Welcome to a new age. In this time and era, rapid expansion across space is the priority of many super-corporations. Many governments are breaking out with rebels opposing them, hoping for an anarchist space. Law enforcement of the sectors is important, not to mention the smuggling problems boosting the rebels and pirates. Of course, our local police sometimes need back-up. With bounty-hunting groups and military organizations, sprung up to profit and make a difference. Now there isn’t all so bad; there’s still many trying to survive independently by establishing colonies and exploring into deep space. With so much expansion, direct mining of space debris is vital to the economy. In order for these to move about, large shipping companies drop these metals and ore-as well as oxygen and food all around. There’s also a lot of speak about religious settlers-acting under a supreme word of a higher being. Nearly all of this is a vigorous cycle depending on another group to work with the others- willingly or not. You fall into this as a FREELANCER, independent with no ties. It’s up to you in order to make a difference now in this world. Do what is best to you. ______________________________________________________________________________ FREELANCERS: You, independent as a high profit ventures selling as traders (Maybe even smugglers), you take goods from here to there, struggling with every other hazard on the way. GOVERNMENT: They control sectors. Set laws and regulations. They allow this or that and administer licenses for police forces and such. SHIPPING COMPANIES: Recruiting escorts and freighters move supplies. Many and rich, they often have private armies. MINERS/SETTLERS: They mine for minerals and sell them off to shipping companies. Settlers explore and form new colonies receiving deeds from local governments. BOUNTY-HUNTERS: Hired by others, they hunt down and capture/destroy/retrieve objects/people for pay. They unify under one common union. MILITARY: Set by governments, these are heavy attack fighters. They follow under their sectors. PIRATES: They steal and thieve. They’re in charge of smuggler rings selling contraband. Not to mention ship-chop-shops causing a reason to steal and butcher ships. REBELS: Anarchists who feel space should be governed by no one. Fight government figures by raiding and kidnappings. RELIGISTS: These people follow true to their gods. They often follow strict codes. Some find them bad, some find them good. SPLICERS: They hack and cheat, stealing data and ships, mostly informants. ______________________________________________________________________________ Rules 1) No godmodding, your ship will go boom. 2) Respect others. 3) 1 Character only. 4) Put common freighter under ship. 5) Max of 2 Perks 6) You need one weakness for your characters self. 7) Reputation is built up, though bribe options may appear. 8) Start with 300 Credits [C] 9) Rules may come up mid-way through. 10) You must be approved to start. ______________________________________________________________________________ Perks
Trained Pilot: Evasive maneuvers unlocked and able to withstand extra g-force.
Smugglers Charm: Able to easily give bribes and smuggling chambers are available for ships.
Enhanced Optics: Sensors and spotting equipment tuned; keen eyes.
Ship Obsessed: Always improving. The owner makes improvements easier and better, they find the best deals.
Strong Stomach: Able to experience serious G-force as well as gore.
Estimation Wizard: Able to target and fire weapons fairly easily with no equipment. (Counts on foot as well)
Charismatic: Attract followers and improve reputations with others faster than average.
Crisis Respondent: Take care of fires and leaks quickly, and adapt better with less oxygen.
Shady: Pirates and rebels trust you easily, police,military, and bounty-hunters are more suspicious.
Bigger Guns: Obsession with big guns, your ship has to do the most. Starts with better weapons
Speed Demon: Fast mover, ship starts out with better engines.
Heavy Hull: Starts with a bigger hull capacity and more health.
Expert Miner: Knowledge of mining drills and tech, mining guilds are friendly toward you.
Hack Happy: Able to hack data and ships, Splicer guilds are friendly.
Young: Many ideas and creative, more reckless and often settlers.

These are mainly person traits such as envious or wrathful. Some examples such as: Cowardly, wrathful, quick-to-anger, crippled, slow fingers, and sloppy.

Recently there is turmoil amongst the religious zealots against the government, The official government has opposed to all kinds of religion, and passed a law, unallowing anyone to have religion. If found, enjaillement will occur. If unjailable, death. Religious-rebels have appeared, where are you on this? Not to mention many Crime syndicates are profiting by the millions, hoping to make money off the wars to follow. |

@Pear, reread th rules, you are all starting as FREELANCERS. I should have done more wig it :p
As far as tech goes, weapons are plasma, laser, and shell based. Shielding is present and each form of shields are designed to defend from he certain weapons. Space mines andtorpedoes do exiest but the starting ships cannot support them. |

| Wifi, Speed Demon works both ways. You're fast nd want a fast ship. You can follow a NPC I'll control then as well. |
