Before you assume that this is going to be some type of "BRING THE CIRCLE STUDS BACK OR I SUE" type of thread, it's not. On to my suggestion.
Since everybody wants circular studs back but we obviously aren't going to have them back, a thought occurred to me. What if it looks like a circle, but truly isn't? I recently had been looking at polygons such as hexadecagons, and realized that they're very close to circles (didn't pay attention to the pictures until recently). Thus, my suggestion was, to appease the players that want the old studs back, make the studs a polygon such as a tridecagon or an icosagon. Then, it will appear to be a circle from a distance but if you actually pay attention to it, it will be a polygon.
TL;DR: Make the studs polygons.

As do I, but I merely suggested this to appease all the people who want the old studs back. Couldn't you still have the new stud texture on a polygon, though?

I'd love this, but it won't happen. Sorry to tell you.

"I'd love this, but it won't happen. Sorry to tell you." I know it likely won't, but it's a nice thing to hope for regardless.

@Zource Anything that looks roughly like a circle would work. Anywhere from hexagon to icosagon in my opinion.

"How about custom textures? Just like minecraft, one could use confirmed textures that use the classic circle studs." Nice idea.

Along with this, we could either:
1) make it optional
2) add custom textures

Literraly it would not be possible for a true sphere to exist.
That is in my terms. Not yours. |

"Literraly it would not be possible for a true sphere to exist." A circle and a sphere are two different things, but I get your point.

"tl;dr i dont care if its too long" Obviously you are too lazy to notice I put a TL;DR line for you. Try again at having a reason to not support.

| Erm... It's a good and creative idea, but I think many-sided studs would look weird and not really make sense... |

@Nikola Look at a icosagon, you'll see how they progress into a nearly-circular shape.

ROBLOX removed the old studs solely because they /looked/ like circles, not just because they /were/ circles. I do not support.
btws, you can already make textures via ROBLOX Studio. |
