It broke the big morphs and does little but impair the player.

WNTS

Also we have to conform to them, not them conform to us. This is a step forward.

It does have a use as well, a big big one: You can animate the torso now without breaking the humanoid.

Some people just don't like change...

Well I have a few words: Change happens, deal with it. Without change, there is no innovation, without innovation, there is nothing new, without new things, people lose interest, without interest, everyone leaves ROBLOX.

Are you mentally ill? This is one of those UNHELPFUL updates, and no, it doesn't help the torso welds.
Aswell as that, like I said, it broke giant and mini morphs, I don't see you providing a reason for that being "helpful" at all.
All I see, infact, is you blatantly insulting me and saying that I "don't like change", when, infact, I LOVE change, but not roots that impair you.

Also, this isn't WNTS, as it isn't a "massive update".

Have you ever considered rescripting your morphs to fit this new update..?

Wait, nevermind!

You use free models!

Oh, how could I be so stupid!

Hm, so let me review this...

Scripting in general is difficult.

Free models, are well. As I've heard people use them all the time to make things, and everyone owns a free model.

From cars, to tools, to even pictures and more.

I, for one use free models for inspiration, and I also like to convert tools to their "realistic" counter part, meaning tweaking the features of a tool to match what their real model is standardly issued with.

And, honestly. I wish they would revert this website back to the 2009 version, It was so nice back then.

@02 Disgraceful, accusing me of using freemodels when everyone who knows me knows I only put actual effort into places that belong to my group.
If you're hoping to base this off of my inventory, I'll have you know I take freemodels for inserting ingame with the use of the insert tool (which you probably think is broken like most other idiots), while you probably don't have a good place to even say you don't do that.

The HumandRootPart is a HUGE update.
It allows the torso to rotate freely without joints being broken.
This allows for cool dynamic animations.
If it breaks your stuff, just rescript it.
No biggy there.
Also, you can make people run up walls with it, in just 2 lines of code(Just play with the welds)

:)

That's like saying; "Hey, I know you just made this huge city made of stone, but we have metal now, so just remake it out of metal! Nooo problems here!"
And I can't simply fix something that involves removing a ROBLOX update from ingame, or making mini/giant morphs actually make you giant/little without breaking things.
This, aswell, sets back tons of work I put into morphs in one of my games, and now all my work is for nothing.

How does it break morphs? I don't see how it does since it's an invisible part and is not named Torso anyways...

I can't be more specific than that...
Okay, for one, the camera follows your TORSO, not the Root.
Basicly, when you pick a giant or mini morph, you will fall on the ground and only the Root will move.
Basicly, your soul leaves you, and you flop around for nothing.

You didn't make the morphs if you don't know how to update them.
You're analogy was completely wrong too.

You wrote:
"Hey, I know you just made this huge city made of stone, but we have metal now, so just remake it out of metal! Nooo problems here!""

Nobody is telling you to REDO it all.
You actually might just need one line of code extra, if anything.
Or, just put back the old animation script from a previous humanoid or character.
A better analogy would be:

"Hey, I know you just made this huge city out of stone, but we now need a town center to support everything! So, why not just add a town center made of stone?"

Don't come up with ridiculous excuses because you are so biased to remove the HumanoidRootPart.

It's not going to be removed because some people can't re-adjust to a couple of scripts.

@Sym Actually, I did, I updated them once a week before HumanoidRoot was added.
Also, my so-called "anology" (protip: learn what your big words mean before using them), was correct.
Someone told me to "magically make my morphs compattable with HumanoidRoot, and so far, that's the one argument everyone's giving, and my response to all is; if you think it's possible, you make a giant morph that you can actually use.
And my so-called "excuses" were completely true. I'm not even biased, unlike you, who probably overreacted like everyone else when some big updates came out. I am open to new things, new things that don't slow down progress.
Oh, and the last thing you said was the most inaccurate, because I know that you aswell can't adjust to these, and if you can; like I said, make a giant or mini morph that works.

I'm only on this game because of scripting and building.
I can adjust to anything because I have to.
I've always been open to new things.
I supported every update of ROBLOX.
You say you are open to everything, yet here you are saying to remove the HumanoidRoot.
My analogy was perfectly correct.
I don't over-react to updates because I adapt to them.
I am giving proper reason.
I won.

No, you're just saying the opposite of what I said, how does that "win" anything?
You either back up your idiotic claims with facts, or they mean nothing, like everything else
Oh right, and I don't care why you're on ROBLOX, because I know in truth that you're on it to put people down on the forums.

coplox is correct, the HumanoidRoot is necessary to allow animations to move the torso.

"It's an unnecessary update."

Do you even have the slightest idea as to what that part does? It is the brick that makes your character jump oddly and does the /e commands, removing it would work out well.

If you hate it, tell the creator of the game to add a function in the script that keeps it invisible at all times. It's not that hard. If you hate it because of something that happened to your game, then do the script yourself. As said before, it's not hard. Don't know how to script? Well start there instead of whining over something that you don't even have a clue about its function.

That is not in the HumanoidRoot...

That is in the new Animate script in your character. Look at it. It's a lot different than the old code for the old Animation script, and is a lot longer in lines as well. That's where the /e is. It is impossible for a brick to do that lol.

I still don't see why it breaks the morph... You still have all the other parts to the character :P.

Is it possible to make the HumanoidRootPart.CanCollide = false?

With the animations I make, animations like laying on the ground, it leaves the invisible HRP still in its normal position with CanCollide = true, so I can't use animations to have my character crawl under stuff, since the HRP gets in the way.

"That is not in the HumanoidRoot..."

Yes, it is.
Look in the animate script.

The /e commands also use the humanoidrootpart.
