[This RP was made a while ago. I'm bringing it back to life. Enjoy.]
~ Introduction ~ "Heroes rise from a great many places. From city sewers to forest camps...From noble kingdoms to city streets. In Ipeiros, this statement is even more truthful. In fact, my son was born in a farmhouse, just below the city of Pylus. He was raised like other commonfolk: grow up to care for a family. But chaos struck the world early in his life. When he was only a boy, a powerful weapon was being constructed. The men and women who worshipped Nexus, the god of night, were preparing a weapon for Nexus to wield. This weapon would shatter the order of the gods, and remove Sigmar from his rule. Fortunately, the gods uncovered the conspiracy, and erased it from the world. They shattered the staff, and spread its pieces wide. But now, miners have begun to rediscover the weapon. It could soon fall into the wrong hands, and throw the world into chaos. But, there is a way for you to stop them. Only-"
The man looks towards the wooden door behind him. Knock, knock, knock.
He tries to continue, but the knocking persists. Finally, with a sigh, he stands up. "Hide below," he says, pointing to a trap door below your chair. You feel angry towards him, for not telling you about this door. You could have fallen in. But nontheless, you listen to his command and hide.
From below, you can hear the man and another person having a conversation. The man sounds nervous, and you can feel the tension. Someone walks into the room, and slowly walks around it. Footsteps press against the floorboards. One of the steps sounds as if it nearly broke the trap door. Finally, the man leaves.
The sound of metal scraping metal screeches into your ears. Then a groan of pain. Thump. Nervous, you wait a moment longer. Thump. After a few more seconds, you slowly open the trap door. You see the man lying on the ground, with a pool of blood slowly spreading around him. Quickly, you come to the man's side. Too late. Always too late.
"This weapon would shatter the order of the gods..." ~ Alphyus
~ Major Places ~ 1* Swampdunes - Occupies much of northeastern Ipeiros. This is an area of massive dunes of sand, similar to a desert. However, a swamp has 'invaded' into this territory. Vines and low-growing plants form a blanket over the sand, and swamp water fills in shallow holes. 2* Whitepeaks - A massive mountain range, stretching from the east to the far end of the mid-western part of Ipeiros. 3* Valley of Saints - A massive valley, it is surrounded by two mountain ranges. These mountains are lined with monstrous statues of those who were named 'Holy' by the Torrn. These statues stand nearly a hundred feet tall, and are often in a standing pose, holding some sort of object at their waist. The mountrain ranges eventually close in, forming a V. The place where they nearly meet is called 'Heaven's Doorstep', as it is, in fact, a doorway to heaven. This doorway is guarded by a member of each race, symbolizing unity. 4* Agedwood - Agedwood is an ancient forest, which rests inside the Valley of Saints. Every tree within Agedwood is over three thousand years old. Their leaves are a beautiful shade of green, and they are kept alive by the power of the gods. 5* Plains of Furus - The Plains of Furus is a vast area of grass and a few trees. It stretches over the western side of Ipeiros. They were named after Furus, who won the Great Battle, which was a war fought by every race, similar to a world war. Furus was a Valikyr, who was sent down (as other Valikyr were) to end the war. He lead his army to victory, and cleansed the area now known as the Plains of Furus. 6* The Echoes - The Echoes is a mountain range located on the southeastern part of Ipeiros. They spread over a larger area than the Whitepeaks, but it does not stretch as far. They were named for having the most noticeable echoes, and for those echoes often being shouts of terror or pain. 7* White Canyons - The White Canyons are located in the southeastern part of Ipeiros. They are enclosed in a valley formed by the Echoes. The cliffs are so high, clouds form within the canyon. These clouds give the cliffside a white color, hence their name. Miners recently discovered the mass of minerals located at the bottom of the canyon, which is the cause for a mining town to be built over it. 8* Breathing Jungle - The Breathing Jungle is a large mass of a variety of trees and other plants, especially of the tropical sort. It was named the Breathing Jungle because of two massive roots. From above, these roots are shaped like lungs, located near the center of the jungle. These roots are of the central tree, named the Hart. They expand and compress when the Hart is healthy, and they collapse when the Hart feels threatened, or is being attacked. 9* Hazel Forest - The Hazel Forest is a large forest located near the southern coast of Ipeiros. It receives its name for its hazel outline, which is caused by the constant source of light. This light is reflected onto the forest by a high mountain. This mountain, named Bahttel, was the warring place for many previous battles. Pieces of armor and weapons that were left behind cause the mountain to be reflective. 10* Mounts of the Moon - These mountains are located in the southwestern part of Ipeiros. They were given their name because they form a crescent, which is also the shape of the moon, most of the time.
~ Cities and Towns ~ 1* Sor - "The Soaring City". Sor rests on several floating islands. These islands were formed by rocks thrown by the gods in the Fifth War. These massive rocks were thrown with such force, they recoiled into orbit. Now, these islands behave like stone clouds, floating around the world of Nathr. The city of Sor never stays in one place, and can often be seen as a dark figure behind the clouds. Sor is home to many members of the Eagyl race. 2* Deptes - "The City of the Deep" (Pronounced Dep-teez). Deptes is a hometown of the Wavyrs. It is located two hundred miles off of the mainland, in the Primare Ocean. Deptes was built below the ocean surface by hundreds of sea creatures. Some of these creatues decided to stay, and eventually become the race of the Wavyrs. Deptes is surrounded in a massive bubble. This bubble, however, is not filled with air. Instead, it acts as a filter and a shield. It filters out the unclean water from the ocean, and shields the city from attacks. 3* Tyde - "Tidal City". Tyde is located on the eastern coast of the mainland, Ipeiros. It is protected by Aethyr, because it is where many of the Valikyr make their homes. Tyde has been taken by the ocean twice because of Okeanós' fury. Both times, however, the city was unharmed. It was only an inconvenience for residents of Tyde. 4* Chield - "Shield". Chield is a small town located in the Swamplands of Ipeiros. It was named Chield after the Shield of Grazar. Grazar was a travelling Eagyl, a rare sight. He carried around a massive shield, nearly covering his body. He used it to protect the town of Chield from massive rocks that were thrown around by the gods, which later became the islands of Sor. 5* Loun - "The Lonely City". Loun is a city located in the Whitepeaks. The city of Loun hangs between two mountains, held up by massive stone hooks. This city is mostly populated by Humans, who tend to stick to their crazy ideas. 6* Devil's Way - This city is located in the Plains of Furus. It is the home of many Helfiends, because it is also the home of the gateway to the underworld. This gateway, known as 'Nexus' Gate', is located at the center of the city, and stands on an elevated platform. 7* New Cittedyl - New Cittedyl is the hometown of the Torrn. Its structures, built by the great architects of the Torrn, are a sight to behold. This city has been visited by the gods multiple times, for its magnificence. The Cittedyl is constantly being renovated to keep its noble status. This city is located along the west coast of Ipeiros. 8* Dimun - Dimun is a mining town, located at the bottom of the White Canyons. It was named for having the largest amount of diamonds found in the shortest span of time. It is a popular place for Vissuns, who are especially fond of mining. 9* Leevs - "City of the Leaves". Leevs is the hometown of the High Elves. It is located in the Breathing Jungle, and surrounds the Hart. The High Elves found minerals located beneath the jungle floor, and have built their massive city with this money. Leevs blends well with the jungle. In fact, it was built so well, people are known to walk into its walls without noticing it beforehand. 10* Mersh - "City of the Swamp". Mersh is located in the Swampdunes. It is small compared to the other main cities, but it is a great city nontheless. Mersh was built upon a stone platform, preventing swamp water from flooding the city streets. Mersh is home to many Fynders, and is considered their hometown. 11* Misth - Misth is a small town, located in Swampdunes. It lies in a small corner of the Swampdunes, known to some as the Mists. This area is always foggy, and it is difficult to see even twenty feet ahead. 12* Pylus - "City on the Pillar". Pylar was built on top of a massive pillar. This pillar is several miles in diameter, and stands two hundred feet tall. The only ways into the city is either through magic (teleportation) or walking up the spiral staircase of a thousand steps. Even though it is high into the air, Pylus is well-known for its great walls. The single pillar is balanced with the support of five thick chains, hammered into the Mounts of the Moon. 13* Phel - A small town, located in the Plains of Furus. It is one of the smaller towns in Ipeiros, but is home to members from many of the races. 14* Other Minor Towns - You will need to find these towns on your own, and figure out what they are known for by yourselves.
~ Races ~ Human - A spirited people, Humans are the youngest of the races. Helfiends - Helfiends are born with twisted bodies. Their lower half is that of a red-scald lizard, while they're upper half is humanoid. Their skin is often a shade of black, with red marks scattered over their torso and shoulers. Helfiends have two twisted horns growing from their head. High Elves - A noble race of elves, High Elves stand with their heads high. And they have good reason for it. High Elves were created as a 'perfect people', by the gods before the Second War. Of course, nothing could be made perfect, and they were flawed. But according to many people, the High Elves are the closest to perfect. They excel at wielding any weapon. However, they were created in the age before magic, and have a very difficult time utilizing it. Fynder - They appear as an orb and are often seen in swamps and forests and are mistaken for other supernatural things such as ghosts and other spirits. They float above ground and could appear as any other race. Fynders are often the cause of claimed hallucinations in swamp lands. Eko - Ekoes appear as rapidly rotating wheels of wind, molded into the shape of the average human. They often confuse loud sounds with their hunting calls, so they repeat these sounds back to where they came from. Most Ekoes live in the mountains, which is the reason for echoes when you yell towards a mass of mountains or hills. Valikyr - The Valikyr are winged men and women who were sent down to the mortal world by Aethyr. Aethyr intended them to become guardians and protectors of the 'humans', for they were considered the weakest of the races in this time. Valikyr live among the cities of men, especially in the port city of Tyde. Eagyl - Eagyls have the bodies of humans, but have talons for feet, the head of an eagle, and wings. Eagyls often live on top of the floating islands of Sor. Contrary to belief, Eagyls use their wings more for transportation. They are rarely seen using their wings for battle, even if it is to carry them above the ground when shooting arrows. Vissun - Vissun often appear as humanoid figures with a black mist surrounding their bodies. Vissun can be seen in forests, especially near rivers. They make their homes in the trunks of dead trees. If there are no dead trees to be found, they kill a tree to make their home. Vissun are believed to be the cause of blindness. They are born without sight. For this reason, people have claimed to see them 'visit' others who are sleeping, and touch their eyes. The person's vision is then stolen, and given to the Vissun. Wavyr - Wavyrs are humanoid creatures, but they are completely made up of tightly compacted streams of water. They make their homes far out into the sea, though few travel to the mainland. Wavyrs are often the cause of Tsunamis. When a Wavyr becomes a part of the noble class, the community gathers together for a ritual. This ritual is made up of multiple steps, and is too complex to describe to you. However, at the end of the ritual, the Wavyrs slam the ground, causing a massive wave to form. Torrn - The Torrn were named for being ripped away from their homeland of Cittedyl. They were forced to leave because of a disease. This disease did not harm the Torrn, however. Instead, it harmed their structures. It was called a disease because of the way it behaves. The 'disease' appeared as slowly moving green clouds. Any structure near these clouds eroded or collapsed. The clouds weakened the structures, which would collapse afterwards. The Torrn moved rather quickly into Ipeiros. They made their homes in brilliant cities, as they are well known for their architecture. The Torrn have a very similar appearance to Humans. The only difference is, on average, they are about 1-2 feet taller.
~ Deities ~ Kánon - ruler of the gods Illios - god of sun, light, and healing Atlas - god of the earth and navigation Kairós - god of time and progress Nexus - god of night, darkness, and shadow Aethyr - god of the sky, heaven, and clouds Ischýs - goddess of strength, courage, and war Sofia - goddess of wisdom and knowledge Mageía - goddess of magic and the arcane arts Okeanós - god of the oceans, seas, and water
~ Classes ~ 1* Warrior - A Warrior is a master of melee combat. The Warrior uses a variety of melee weapons, ranging from swords to hammers, to crush their foes. Warriors wear the strongest armor, and are often the first to charge into a fight. 2* Ranger - A Ranger is a master of physical, ranged combat. The Ranger uses a variety of ranged weapons, ranging from bows to throwing axes, to reduce their opponents' numbers. Rangers wear medium armor (often leather), and stand behind the front lines, bombarding their enemies with ranged projectiles. 3* Mage - A Mage is a master of the arcane arts (magic). The Mage uses a variety of spells to bury, drown, or explode their foes. Mages wear light armor (often cloth), and stand behind the Rangers, casting spells to protect their allies and obliterate their foes. 4* Thief - A Thief is a master of stealth and dexterity. The Thief uses a variety of gadgets and their sleight of hand to disable traps, and sneak behind enemy lines. Thieves wear medium armor (often leather), and follow after the front lines, slowly reducing the opposing numbers from behind. 5* Cleric - A Cleric is a master of the healing arts. The Cleric uses a variety of spells to protect or heal their allies, or to eliminate undead creatures. Clerics wear medium armor (often leather), and stand with the Mages, healing and protecting their allies.

[@shadow; Not initially. However, your character may decide to learn a couple Mage abilities, etc.]
[Also guys, keep in mind that you can choose your path. You can become evil, neutral, or good. I just ask that, whichever path you choose, you progress the RP. Don't do things that have nothing to do with the plot or things that will not eventually lead to something that progresses the RP.] |

Name: Renning Kristoph Appearance: Renning is a somewhat short man, standing at around 5'8. He has dark brown hair, that is somewhat ahort, and is always kept very messy. A light stubble lines his face, so you can tell that he is quite young. Personality: Renning is a very intelligent man, and somewhat charming. He can be sometimes Narcisistic without him knowing, but most people would brush it off. He loves adventure, and is very free spirited. He doesn't have much of a moral code, and will do anything from mug a man on the road, to save someone being attacked. He likes to do things for the experience. Bio: Renning was born in Phel, and for most of his life, he stayed there. His parents farmed, and worked tirelessly, constantly paying all of their money to the lords of the land. He soon grew to resent aristocracy, and by the age of 16, began to participate in nearly daily muggings of the random richer man that passed through the town. Race: Human Class: Ranger Gender: Male
(Sorry for the awfully generic character, but I couldn't really think of a good backstory, and really felt like playing a Chaotic Neutral character.)
