2 elderly siblings lost their home and moved into a garbage filled garage
When the police found them the man was crawling on the ground, covered in dog bites and open sores
The woman was sitting in a chair when it caught fire and melted her skin to it
She had been in that chair for 3 weeks |

No it cannot. No once living organism can melt. "Melt: to make into or become liquid by heat."
While water consists entirely of molecules of H2O, skin is made of many different compounds, including water, proteins, and elements found in fatty tissue and blood vessels. Adding heat to skin only will make it burn, and will kill tissues etc. |

You are saying she turned her skin into liquid then hardened it again against a chair? Skin only burns, and the logic you are using it impossible. |

| You must mean the chair melted to her skin, since metal can melt in extreme heat. |

"Melt" wasn't the correct term, her skin probably stuck to the chair due to the top layer being incredibly damaged.
If you've ever had a very bad sunburn and you sleep on it, you will stick to the bed. |

| Therefore the news station was incorrect, it is physically impossible for that to happen. |
