Because if aliens came to Earth they obviously wouldn't have the technology to wipe out the human race and everything else on Earth, right?

I doubt you would be able to steal alien weapons while they're stored in some kind of ship without getting killed. Why wouldn't you just befriend the aliens so we could trade technology and study each other?

Guys, what if the aliens saw this and they think the entire human race is as violent and as selfish as you lot?

| but think about it. if there is an extraterrestrial species that is capable of interstellar travel, that means that there must be others, yes? so why would they bother with us? were rather insignificant and we dont have any technology comparable to theirs, nor do we have anything they might need. if they really wanted to make friends, theyd be just as capable of finding other species that have similar technology. |

If we found life on Mars why would we bother with it? We're far more advance than them and are capable of traveling around the solar system

@ty
we would care because it has to do with our immediate planetary neighborhood. once we become capable of travelling over the galaxy, simple discoveries like that will not mean anything to us. |

| at that level? no. the chances that they have already found new life in other solar systems is very large, so they wouldnt bother with us. |

| you would think that because you are a human. to us humans, new life is a very important discovery because he havent seen any besides on our own planet. |
