For the name they should drop "ers", then switch "Lua" and "Learn." The effects can be demonstrated as such:
LuaLearners LuaLearn LearnLua |

| I never actually have seen them in action, so I wouldn't know. Yet I suggest it to random people who come here asking to learn how to script o3o |

| Is this like a bi-weekly thread topic in the Scripters forum or something? I swear that I've seen this thread topic way too many times. |

I'm actually kinda curious to know why it sucks so much. Granted it's not the best or very effective. |

| All I ever used it for was talking with people on the home page, so I really don't care about it. |

| I wouldn't be surprised if they did give false information, because what a scripter/programmer may think is true, may actually be false in reality. And with a large group of people all giving out separate information, who know how much can be wrong o3o |

| Um, it's all wrong. They are terribly close-minded and they pollute Google search results with their crap. They shouldn't be associating themselves with Lua because their content relates to Roblox (and is often times... still entirely incorrect...) and that has NOTHING to do with real Lua. It conflicts, too. If I want a list of Lua's core data types (e.g. what type() returns), I should not be getting crap like "Vector3", "Part", etc. |

| So, they consider Vector3 and Part datatypes? Despite the fact that they are userdata objects being used as pseudo classes? Wat. |

Hi there,
I'm the owner of LuaLearners, and I am aware of all of your concerns. At this point in time, I am currently working on completely revamping the website with a brand new approach on teaching. For now, however, the website will stay up as it stands. You can expect the new website to be released sometime in March of next year.
As for now, if you feel like the content is bad, then feel free to fill out a writer application and correct the issues. In the future, we will only have official content, so it won't be community-generated, making it much more accurate.
Lastly, I would like to ask everyone not to make threads talking about LuaLearners. It has been done before and does not help anyone. If you have a specific concern about the website, then feel free to leave it in a support ticket and one of our staff will get back to you shortly.
Thanks. |

'sometime in March of next year.' A lot of people are going to learn from your website and you refuse to inform them that the content is not accurate?
Just put it on the index or w/e |

I'm a Reviewer at LuaLearners, and I will agree that the Lessons site is in very poor condition-- very, VERY poor condition. In the next months, I'm planning on rewriting or even scrapping most of the articles, and hopefully we'll have an entirely new writer team picked.
I think that the group has a great deal of potential, however. What we lack is competent entrepreneurship at LL. We've got a website, and we most definitely have some very talented programmers. We just don't have people who are willing to put in the effort. I think that if and when our leaders step up, that we will gain great traction in motivating productive efforts from our members and helping our group to flourish.
As for my own opinions, I will admit that some of the moderators are ill-suited for the job or simply have not contributed a great deal to the community. My person belief is that the moderation staff should be cut down because, besides the fact that some of our moderators don't do squat, we have too many moderators at our website for the amount of activity that _actually_ goes on there. And some of the moderators simply lack maturity, which is an absolute necessity for the job. |
