I live in the US, so yes, I am dissing my own country.
The US flashes around the term "We will strike" if any conflict whatsoever arises. Our government is ruled by corporations. We don't know how to make our own items. EVERYTHING I see says "Made in China". Really? If China stopped making us goods, our economy would crap itself. And finally, the thing that REALLY makes me mad is how much our politicians DONT care about the people, but their money. They shutdown the frickin government because they wanted to act like tough guys. The only good thing I can say about my country is we can worship freely.

Like any country would?
"We don't know how to make our own items."
The companies tell the Chinese sweatshops how to make the products
"our politicians DONT care about the people, but their money."
Look at North Korea and Zimbabwe

"The US flashes around the term "We will strike" if any conflict whatsoever arises." Agreed so much. Also, I agree about the economy. |

If you've never heard of China and you saw all the stuff that says "Made in China", then you'd think that it's made of Metal and no grass or dirt...

Nope. We won't go down if China stops trading with us. In fact, China would probably go down. Think about it. China gains tons of profit from making cheap products for us. If they stop producing, then they will be hurt. We will be hurt as well, but to a lesser extent.

We wouldn't have the goods to do much though, we'd have to restart the economy, which would crash it for a few weeks.

Meta, you must be incredibly stupid/ignorant to think China only trades with the US.

"I don't think he said that but US is one of their major trade partners"
Key word here: One. There a lot of countries that are major trading partners with China. Not just the US.
Also, if he thinks that China would fall if they stopped trading with the US, then it's obvious he doesn't know much about China's exporting.

The US is China's largest trading partner. Second is Hong Kong which is part of China and Hong Kong's second after China is the US. So yes, The US is an extremely important part of the Chinese economy.

I would've found that a highly credible source of information if it wasn't from almost 2 years ago.

Because it was made 2 years ago and times change. An article from June-November 2013 would be highly credible.

Scenario: China's economy crashes after the fall of European economy, and is no longer able to trade with the United States. Predictions?
Mine is that the US would go into a "Dark Age". A recession will begin, but after a few years we would be able to get back up again. We don't make our items, but we (I'd say 90% of the time) design them. Our producers would get on track to making our OWN items. Actually, the ending of trade between China could mean a plus in US economy. More jobs, more money, less starving, able to pay for education, etc.
