iirc they optimize the games so they run good enough on older consoles
they released fifa 14 for the ps2

| Probably longer than the Xbox 360, simply because of it's Blu-ray capability, something that is a serious bottleneck to the Xbox 360. Like developers can use the cell processor a great bit for the graphics pipeline, instead of using the systems video card, which is greatly outdated. |

Yes, it was. Especially a few years ago. The Playstation 3 cell processor is simply too complex for most developers to take advantage of it's capability's. Now, if more developers learn how to master the cell like Naughty Dog did, than it's likely that the lifespan of the Playstation 3 will be extended. |
