You might like John Grisham's Theodore Boone books.
If you want something kinda lighthearted, Lemony Snicket's All The Wrong Questions books are pretty good. |

Crime and romance, huh? Les Misérables would be the perfect book for you, if you also like war squeezed in there. It's 365 chapters, you may want to get an abridged version if that's too long for you. |

hi vanesa read The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (written by J.K. Rowling under that name). It's much better written then Harry Potter and I'm part way through, it's a really good crime novel with a Holmes-like character in the sense that he is unique. |
