I trained myself to become a decent SFer; most of that was by my own training (like playing on games like SFOTH Origional). Barely any of that was tips given to me by groups. But this is quite controversial in this matter. RCLing is quite useful for skill levels in the terms of gun fighting. I am getting better at gun fighting due to RCL trainings held by groups.

To be honest, it really depends on how regular a training is held, because having 1 training a week, or ATTENDING 1 training a week will not really enhance your skill level by that much. So you have to attend trainings regularly, if you wish to do so.

Clan's training don't enhance your skill level and won't teach you anything, they only ask you to fight and fight and fight.

A training with another individual you can learn a whole lot more. In Rcl I was absolutely terrible, after training every day for the past month I'm now only decent!

I still lose 4-10. gg.

Clan trainings are probably pointless, we can't get to every single persons weakness. And we don't spend enough time to actually improve there.

Group trainings do not improve our skill unless the Trainer is decent. The best way to improve your teamwork and combat skill is doing raids and battles. [6 v 6]

Well, actually. If you have certain trainings, I mean, if you have a SFT GFT obby, maybe some faces and your done. That isn't "training" that's having weapon tournaments. If you actually train them. For example: Teach them how to sword fight, teach them your methods of gun fighting, bequeath what you know to them in trainings. Work through it with them, and practice on it. Then at the END of the training, have those tournaments and other things. So the training for one, isn't around 20-30 minutes. It's an hour and a half to 2 hours.

The way most clans train doesn't improve one's skill.

VAK saw this and decided to change that.

C'mon Dome, I went to maybe probably I think at least one maybe a few less VAK trainings and didn't get better.

Maybe because it was the "turn left turn right face me ok go now dismissed" stage 1 training that Hunter gives.

Usally in the trainings that I host, I continue the normal training basically up until SF and gun fighting simulations and that is where I start to give tips on how to improve and more ways to win. At the end of every training u give tips to everyone and add that to the WIJ mainframe for what they need to work on in the future. Yes, some trainings just do nothing for you but they can be beneficial.

but not as bad as before I started training
I am now a GREAT swordfighter
I was a classic 3rd person user when I started training

It really depends. Because doing things like formations will not help your skill level. Also, it depends how often you train. Once a month will not enhance your skill level by much.

The old CDS way of training was decent.

No BS policy

And you'll hurt your reputation w/ HR's if you do anything less than good.

I train myself more that trainers train me. So I don't see that they will make your skill level rise by much, when you could just DIY.

trainings aren't meant to make you better, they're only for evaluation

Then why are they called "training's"? The point of "training's" is to train. And the training that they do is not that helpful, when you could train yourself. But I do see your point on evaluation.

the point of the definition of training might be to train, but that's not necessarily what's actually happening
