I am in the process of a debate over weather to ask for an iPad mini or a 3DS XL for Christmas. Last year I had a similar debate, between an iPad mini and a computer, I went for the latter, and this year I have a similar dilemma. What do you think I should pick? I don't know but I feel like I have a favor for the iPad mini because I already have a 3DS (regular) and could just try and spruce that up.
iPad mini (2) stats:
16GB $399 (probably what I am going for)
Space gray/white
Retina display
Height:7.87 inches (200 mm) Width:5.3 inches (134.7 mm) Depth:0.29 inch (7.5 mm) Weight (Wi‑Fi):0.73 pound (331 g)
A7 chip, iSight+FaceTime HD cameras, 1080p HD
3DS XL stats:
$199
Red/blue/pink/white/black/Pokémon
Glasses-free 3D
Big top screen, little bottom screen
4GB SD Card
Plays all 3DS and DS games
3 .3 (ogm such powerful) cameras
HD?
What do YOU think? |

If you already have a 3DS then I would say an iPad mini. Also you really don't need to post specs here. |

| You can do far more with an iPad Mini than you can with a 3DS XL. If you are a pragmatic person like I am myself, you will love the convenience that tablets/smart mobile devices bring. |

It really depends on your opinion. The 3DS XL is cheaper, but games are more expensive. If you want to play more games, I'd go with the 3DS XL. If you want to do more than just playing games, go with iPad mini. |

| See? That's why I asked this question, I would ask for both if I could but that would be all I get (Last year my laptop was 400 dollars, still got a lotta cool stuff though) and an iPad mini OR a 3DS XL would leave plenty of room for nice nonelectronic items. |

@Thunder Just get a 2DS x2.
The 3DS XL has about the SAME amount of portability the 2DS. Also, it will save you monies.

| The iPad Mini looks convincing (despite my hatred for Apple, its a somewhat good product) but 16gb without external expansion is small. |

@Cool 16GB isn't that small for the iPad Mini, it's a reasonable size for the light-medium tablet users.

eVGA's Tegra Note supports 32gb of microSD storage. It released last week. |

Android's microSD support is pathetic and fiddly. |

I had the 16GB iPhone 4S and I regretted not getting the 32GB model. I now have the 32GB iPhone 5S and have used something like 20GB already. |
