Not the wrong forum. This would help my building, quite a lot, actually. I have a 1.3 GHZ laptop, with 6.0 GBs of ram. Dual core processor. I know, my laptop is old. Not exactly a gaming laptop. Anyway, I get around 17-19 FPS in my ROBLOX Studio in my game called My Garage. Anyone know how to decrease lag in ROBLOX Studio edit mode? |

| You could always try and decrease the settings. |

A lot of moving parts makes lag. Anchoring all your non moving parts may help.
A ton of parts close together makes lag. My bomber has only about 8000 parts, but they are mostly within a 2-300 stud radius and some people with older computers or poor graphics cards lag in there.
Your computer has to render all the close parts for you to see, so if you decrease your graphics settings (Menu button, bottom left of in game screen) it should decrease lag. The new updates for streaming parts should help you out with this.
I've heard most 'anti lag' scripts don't work, I haven't ever tried one so I can't say. |

| My ROBLOX Studio does not have a menu button, instead It's just stuck on probably graphics settings 4, or higher. And, anti lag scripts, how could those work when I'm in edit mode and nothing is on play? That means the scripts don't start. As far as I know, at least. |

Sorry, I saw you referring to the fps in game and didn't catch the 'in edit mode' comment.
Something I found when Studio 2013 was released was an issue with the Explorer/Properties window width on the right side of the screen. If it was a certain width it caused massive lag in Edit mode. Dunno why, but grabbing the left edge of the window and dragging it slightly dropped the lag a bunch when the lag was happening. I haven't had the lag lately though and thought it was my computer fighting ROBLOX. |

Anti-Lag scripts don't work.....
Try putting everything into models so that it loads faster.

Dragged it smaller, now 19 FPS. So far, just 2 frames of an increase. Any more ways? I'd like to decrease as much lag in ROBLOX Studio as possible. I'm making a very detailed map, and so far, I got 19 FPS. I can't think of any ways to decrease lag. Is there a way to turn down the graphics in ROBLOX Studio Edit Mode? |

You have the same problem as me. I can try to ease things off for you but I cannot completely stop it.
-For instance, press Shift when you move the camera to move slower.
-Every time it starts to majorly lag, save, turn off and wait a few minutes.
-Try to keep models in different places before transferring it to the place where you put them all. |

For instance, I have me 'Building and Testing' place for making models before I put them into the places where I need them. |

Oh, and press ctrl + Shift + esc. A window will open, at the bottom read your CPU usage. My average when on forums is around 7-12%, however on studio it can get up to 50%. The lower the better. |

I know about the shift slow movements. I have a separate place where I keep my models, called LAB. Its where I try to minimize as much lag as possible by keeping everything one color, until Im done the model.
My laptop is an Acer Aspire 1551-3671.
CPU: AMD Athlon II Neo K325 1.3GHz. Mainboard: AMD 8880G Graphics adapter: ATI Radeon HD 4225, Core: 380 MHz, DirectX 10.1, Shader 4.0, 8.692.1.0 Display: 11.6 inch 16:9, 1366x768 pixel, WXGA, LED, glossy: yes Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Harddisk: Hitachi Travelstar 5K500.B HTS545032B9A300, 320 GB 5400 rpm
Thats all I know about my laptop. I got my laptop in around 2011, so... 2 years, maybe.

| When I try to move around, or slowly move around (hold shift), it gets delayed by 2 seconds, but, the frames seem to be perfectly fine and should not get delayed. Yes, I have exited all unnecessary programs that are running. It's another problem I get, and I'm not sure if any of you guys get that problem, too. |
