So we have this huge in-class essay tomorrow, about how Rome influenced Western Civilization.
One of my claims are about how Rome's architecture influenced Western Civilization, such as their magnificant statues, columns, and arches. The US has this too (White house, etc.) I just can't link the two.
In other words, I can't find a reason why the US used Rome's style of architecture for some of their work. Help me find the reason why?

| Try discussing how the Americans took ideas that the Roman government used and created a system based on a republic. |

Yes, I need three claims.
My first one was about that and law. My second one is architecture/engineering, and my third claim is about religion/Christianity. |

Didn't romans come up with aqueducts? Talk about how that helped with water transportation.
Also, just googling Roman architecture will help you make a billion connections, like the columns on famous buildings. Good structure, great support, and stylish all year round |

It showed power and authority and displayed the empire's greatness (sounds like America today). Also, the statues were based off of GREEK styles but slightly modified). The Roman's architecture was superior to other nations of its times and was one of the key reasons why it became a powerful empire, because of aqueducts and bridges, transportation was easy, so was trade. And the army can move faster, aqueducts brought water to Rome from Tiberus etc.
I'm taking A.P European History btw

Well, buildings like the Capitol building, possess a sort of Neo-classical style, much like London's St.Pauls cathedral. Neo-classical is influenced by the classical style.
That would explain the columns on the White house, |
