Hi, "Error Id=17" is a sign of connection problems when ROBLOX has trouble or fails to load online games.
There could be several reasons for it to happen, the most common are * Firewall, * Combination of low bandwidth and large game * Game could contain too many objects for the game to run properly for you.
You can also do several things to prevent this issue. I'll just quickly list them up, but you may head over to the Help-pages under "More" -> Help for more guidance! I added a link to the bottom of my post.
What to Do: * Make sure you're using a supported browser. Internet Explorer is the most supported, while Firefox, Chrome and Safari are also supported. * Check your browser's security settings (see the link) * Check your wireless connection * Configure your firewall or router (see link)
If you have further problems, you may need to just re-install ROBLOX.

A lot of people get "Error Id=17".
Recommendations: 1) Uninstall & reinstall ROBLOX 2) Check your "Firewall", just to make sure it's allowing ROBLOX to run. 3) You also want to check your internet connection, just to make sure it's strong. 4) It also could just be your computer…
QUESTION:
1) Is it a particular game OR all games?
(If it's a particular game, that game must not be well scripted)
(But, if it's ALL games, I strongly recommend uninstalling & reinstalling ROBLOX. <<< I've also experienced "Error ID = 17" & once I uninstalled & reinstalled everything was smooth again.)
I hope I at least helped you get an idea on what to do OR even solved your issue. (Another thing you can do is, email info@roblox.com about your issue they can also give you advice)

@Gain
I used to play roblox on this same exact computer for many years, and just today it started doing ID=17.
I also checked firewall AND uninstalled already..
and its also EVERY game. |
