Since we are not able to import meshes, why not be able to create our own with roblox? Build for example, a Bus. on the toolbar on the top you should make a button called "Mesh converter". What it does is transform the bricks into one single block with a mesh file inside. That way, we can turn 1K model objects into a single block. This solves lag problems and moderating problems since the items are created using roblox's client and not 3rd party softwares.

I support it, but with the meshes the hitboxes are different, I think that's why bricks are so laggy in general.

Meshes are just one part with a lot of surfaces (A LOT!!). It wouldn't make a difference. Also, WNTS.

This is rather interesting, but the mesh would lose it's general collide settings. ROBLOX hasn't managed to make meshes collide on individual faces yet.

Apparently I didn't make myself clear. @ Ultra, No, meshes don't necessarily have to have a lot of faces. A sphere has low polys itself and acts like a normal part. Yes it would make a difference. It is not part of WNTS for the fact being that the meshes are created by ROBLOX, which means no moderating needed. A point I didn't make clear is that all faces will not collide, It will be a realizable part (4 sides) with a mesh file. All the converter will do is calculate the exterior brick faces and form a mesh. Or just convert each brick together as 1 mesh (which ever is easier and more efficient). Anything else im missing?

It isn't that simple. As the 1000 random parts will become one big square and you can't walk through that unless you turn cancollide on, but then you walk through everything. Support, but I don't see ROBLOX staff pulling this off correctly.

There is always a beta testing for everything. If they take it in consideration, they'll make it possible. Take the streaming function in consideration. I thought they could never pull that off since it was more complicated then this. But yet they worked it out.
