The World: In this world the Kingdom is the most popular, leaving more Civilian Provinces than military, while the Military is second, and the Church, not as favored by the crowds, and so there are less Divine Provinces than Military. The continent of Verexia is currently engaged in an intense air of tension as feuds between Crestrise and Everwrath grow hotter, and raids towards eachother become more often and intense. Various attempts on the lives of Highever's three descendants, Hransen, Darikinth, and Mavea has forced the trio to stay in the Church's capital of Shrev, consequently increasing Shrev's security. However, a few rumors suggest Darikinth currently pursues his father's murderer. Also, to brighten up situations, humans have recently begun digging up old Amarzi ruins, a race that died out completely during the Occupation of Feralclaw a hundred years ago. As with them once being the only other race native to the Crestrisen region, the Empire's archeologists are having an easy time.
Races: Humans: Simply just humans, they have the most kingdoms and largest empires Abominations: Not all Spells like to come here to be used, and we must never presume that the Realm of Magic is peaceful. They have wars , too, and extremely capable of evil. Some spells, for various reasons, actually prefer to live here in our Realm then Magic. A lot of these spells are Evil ones, and are known to possess corpses to make Undead, or possess a Tree and to make the Treants, however, just because something is Undead or a Treant, it doesn't mean it's an Evil spell. Some times, a good spell will do that, or it will take over in-animate statues or mud, to make a body that will help them live here in this Realm. These have always been seen, but it is rare for them to group a large enough number that Crestrise can consider them one of it's races. Harpies: Harpies are strange folk. They stand structured similar to a normal being, but have feathers at various points of their body, with wings popping out of their back. They tend to come in different colors, color deciding their job and life. The rarest of these is the black feather, which is royalty. Bogs: Bogs are perhaps the strangest creatures in the known world. At times mistaken for a race of spells that possess bodies, a bog is it's own natural living life form. They seem to be primarily composed of fungi, with tentacles for fingers and 3 to 6 covering the mouth, funny considering they usually only stand at 3 and half feet at full growth. Don't underestimate them though, these guys can live for eternity, and know secrets other races don't and have abilities like none other though. However, these are effective only while they have a sustainable food source of dead plants. Due to this matter, the Bogs were forced out of their home, even now unknown to us, claiming that their home was hit with something called the Eternity Virus, not only making the plant life immortal, but frozen in time. Even Bogs, as they are fungi, were suffering it. Now, the Bog, escaping from the Eternity Virus, situate themselves here in Crestrise, where a large number of refugee races come and are welcomed by refugee care laws that had been set in. Minotaurs: Minotaurs are large, bulky, muscular and proud. Minotaurs maintain the normal structure of a human, however, their noses are black and flat with thin nostrils (Think Lord Voldemort with the slits of his nostrils upside down), everything from their head to thighs is covered in brown, red, or black fur, they have pure black eyes, and horns that curve around his face, turning and then jutting out. So think of a human with those changes. Minotaur. Of course, their life is much more simpler. The Minotaurs are a honorable people, a warrior race that has channeled the art of Gragar, a form of swordplay that involves sword strikes and charging and impaling enemies with their horns. To them, it is honorable for males to know Gragar, while females, who tend to find their horns shorter and only encircling their heads, find it honorable to fight as Minotaur Juggernauts, using their horns to master a defensive art called Fel'Gragar. These Minotaurs have come to Crestrise not because of them being refugees, wanting to leave their homes, or because they feel like it. They come to Crestrise as bards to tell of might heroic Minotaur deeds or forge their own in this vast empire. (The dice said no almost to every race I tried to pull up, so I had to create some new one. 3 out of 5 of these are all brand new, the Bogs, the Minotaurs, and the Harpies.)
The Beginning: The minotaur sings of her heroic tales fighting all sorts of various monsters, while a bog is helping the bar tender, a friend of his serve drinks. And there you are, waiting for some morning breakfast when your best friend, Gahran comes to you. You know Gahran as you were the only two of equal age growing up in important military families. Heck, Gahran's younger brother, Byward, is even betrothed to your little sister, Mavea, the w.edding due in 3 months.
"Seems so... peaceful, doesn't it?" says Gahran, a tinge of nervousness in his voice. |

Gahran smiles.
"Heh. As if anyone could forget that. Even when we are at the worst or best moments of our lives, only the man who lacks the soul can forget they're tracking a killer. So got a plan? Need me to go into the market to get anything?" |

| "Ahhh, but even the murder of an assassin is against the law. Our heritages don't make good shields, especially in a civilian province," says Gahran. |

| "Who said anything about killing him? I want the people to know that he dies, I want the people to see it. We'll hang him after a more or less fair trial with a sort-of indifferent judge," I say quietly that only he could hear me. |

| "Yeah, like no one would question that. Look, I've been doing some research, and a little birdy, no joke, this was one really small harpy, told me he'll be on a ship heading towards some small province named Shatter, stopping at a very strict judicial town in a military province named Dragon Lance. Perhaps we could uh... bribe a few guards into turning Hitirin's quarters a little jail until we get there?" he says, smiling. |

| "This will work, but you have to ambush Hitirin. I will bribe the guards with say... 1 platinum coin each? It will put a strain on my wallet, but it will grab their attention..." says Gahran. |

"Sure, I'll pay you back with quite a bit of platinum later," I say, "So maybe ten guards will work?"

He looks into the distance for a moment, and then nods.
"Yeah... he wouldn't. Well, we oughta go, best to get there before Hitirin, right?" |

Gahran finishes, and the ship commences it's path towards Dragon Lance. As soon as you get to the town, the guards on board escort Hitirin to the jail.
"Well... that was simple," says Gahran. |
